"Tough midfielder who is good at stoppages using his clean hands and vision to set up the play. Tackles aggressively and is capable of playing a run-with role thanks to his elite endurance."
Sounds good to meComment

That was disappointing. Most had him ranked in the 40-50 range and we used out hard earned 25 on him. Hope they see something special in him. Valente or Bytel appealed to me more.Comment

I agree, it felt like all that cunning was wasted on a player who would have been available at our original pick in the late 30s. Lets hear what KB or SD has to say in the wash up, and, lets see how he plays next year and beyond?

More on James Rowbottom:
"One of the Draft crop's big bolters, the hard-working midfielder steadily improved his inside craft throughout 2018 to average 21.9 disposals and 6.5 tackles per game in the TAC Cup. He was rewarded with four appearances for Vic Metro at the National Under-18 Championships. But it's his craft forward of centre that Rowbottom wants to work on at AFL level." Bailey Williams gone. I know some were interested. Happy to see Sydney Stack still available at this stage.Comment

At this stage of the draft even the pros' views differ significantly from each other.Comment
