God, Rance is turning into Matthew Lloyd in staging for kicks. He should be playing another code (as we needed a few more penalties). That choking act was simply embarrassing.

Such a shame as he is an awesome player.

Just had a glance at the stats. Hewett's stood out: 20 contested possessions; 10(!) clearances; 7 tackles. He's been one of our best all year; he's become super reliable and keeps his nerve. Doesn't fumble, marks going back with the flight.

          Kennedy 36 possessions (22 contested), 8 clearances, 9 tackles, 6 I50s.

Hannebery ended up with 20 possessions. His kicking and decision-making is still a bit off, it kind of feels like he's re-learning the game. But he is running out games better.

Horse's appraisal of Hanners...."Oh no, he's going alright, he just turned the ball over a bit tonight." Mmmmm.......

KJ and Rose won't feature.Hanners and Rohan look shakey. Dawson, Fox, Newman, COR, Marsh and Towers waiting in the wings means that we can pick in form players as required.

But Horse needs to stop the charity for the chosen few.Its not fair to the others.

I agree with the charity comments. Horse has for far too long let players like Hannas come back in without proving their fitness in the reserves. Hennas was caught right out tonight. Kizza has gone past his use by date. He is @@@@ing slow. Rohan has not troubled the stats man very much at all this season. Time for them all to go for players who have much more passion and need.

I respect your view, but agree with Longmire. He's trying and getting to the ball. Reckon his touch will come back to him.

Richmond were so relaxed that they got Higgins to tell the joke of the week at the three quarter time huddle , about our Harbour Bridge apparently : can only guess ....
That several of our players should be Bridge Painters rather than AFL footballers .. ?
Anyway it certainly cracked em up...

Hopefully quickly because we have a particularly tough run to the finals....and need to finish top four. Just checked the ladder...Go Crows against Eagles and go.....Suns.....oh @@@@, we'll probably miss there. Magpies may jump us.....yowsers, Port play Carlton! This could get ugly by rounds end.

My problem with Hanners is he is running at about half pace and struggles to kick more than thirty meters. If Horse can't see that then he has a problem.

Agreed. He was not our worst by a long shot. And not alone on poor disposals tonight.

If not for Kennedy, Jake, Parker and some desperate defence, it would have been 50 points.

As for the rest, really liking Hewett, Ollie & Hayward plus Ronke?s effort is lovely to watch.

I like Aliir, but he really does look lost at times & his kicking makes me cringe.

I just can?t see how long we can carry a number of players who have such a low impact in big games.

Everyone reads the game differently I suppose. Yes they had a lot more shots on target, but I think we created a lot of our own problems too. We have plenty of work to do, but I don't think we are too far away.

                              - Luke Parker is as tough as nails. Playing with one arm and one eye and he's still a champ!
And one head full of steam after that vicious elbow to his eye!

                              Yes he is a champ.

I?m not convinced that Hanners needs to go. He is improving week by week. He just needs to learn to kick it to his own players.

There are others that worry me more namely:

Rohan, who I have defended until now
Jack, who?s biggest asset was speed and evasiveness no longer has it
Aliir, I?ve been dying to see him in the side, now I can?t wait for Melican to come back.
Rose, I agree it was a tough return to the team, but he?s not Papley.

There is a list of players not getting a game: Towers, Newman, Dawson, COR etc. Time to give some of them a go.

Is it bad I want Horse to drop one of Rohan / KJ next week? Why did ROK and Teddy get dropped so unceremoniously when others seem untouchable?
