I think Amartey's miss from 25 metres out straight in front - that went on the full - was the worst. Probably a pretty good effort really with the team we had in.

Positives: Cameron played his best game I have seen, Maibaum was very solid, Stoddart was pretty good, McCartin shows a lot of promise, Aliir did not get badly injured and played about 85% of the games - was good at times.

Not an awful performance given the relative strength of both sides. I imagine Malceski would be happy with a win but otherwise disappointed with how his side performed.

I thought Maibaum was very solid in defence and Cameron was clearly our best around the ground. Aliir got better as the game went on but I think it's pretty clear why he's not yet being picked to play senior footy. Similarly, McCartin gave us plenty to be excited about in the future but he's not ready right now (and needs to work on his kicking). Amartey didn't contribute much but I've seen him play much better.

Stoddart got better as the game went on but Ling was quite disappointing. I realise he's still finding his way playing against men but his kicking - touted as a strength - was very ordinary. Brown was probably the best of the smaller men. He kept battling all game long and finally gave us that goal towards the end of the quarter.

Kennelly said a long list of players produced strong games.

?Darcy Cameron had a really good game, Jake Brown played well, Tommy McCartin had a good crack on the half-forward line and he looked particularly dangerous in the first half,? Kennelly said.

?Matt Ling played on Aaron Hall in the second half and really shut him out of the game and Jack Maibaum was also very strong for us at half-back.?

That is a fair assessment in my opinion.

Two things stood out for me. Cameron really stood up ( haha) and pretty much demanded a seniors debut. I think buddy will miss a few weeks and I would definitely be giving Cameron a go as a forward.

Maibaum looked very good as a key defender and I think he will be stiff not to get a senior game this year.

That Cameron stat line is incredible. He was Swans-best for every stat except inside and rebound 50s, where he was second (to McCartin) and third (to Styles and Maibaum) respectively.

Exactly. He is demanding seniors selection

Coming up against a top shelf ruckman like Goldstein with backup from Daw it would be very timely to bring him into the side .There's no form like good form!

I see that Jordan Dawson is a chance to play. Listed as test on the injury list after being listed as 6 weeks away last week. That Swans medical team can sure work wonders!

Noticed the votes are up on the NEAFL site:

NEAFL MVP VOTES ? Round 4

                          10: Darcy Cameron (Sydney)
                          7: Aaron Hall (Gold Coast)
                          6: Jacob Dawson (Gold Coast)
                          3: Will Brodie (Gold Coast)
                          2: Brad Scheer (Gold Coast)
1: Callum Ah Chee (Gold Coast)
                          1: Jake Brown (Sydney)

Pretty impressive polling 10 votes in a losing team.

So Rose is suspended for his outburst against Gold Coast last week. I think he was injured in the ensuing scuffle anyway.
