Thanks for the wrap up Ugg. Pleasingly we've still got quality depth in the ressies despite quite a few injuries.

I?d be surprised if his suspension was longer than a week given his victim Nutting played on. It would be nice if the Swans were always up to date with their injury list.Comment

Even better than usual, ugg! I loved the reference to the goal "Clarko would have been chuffed with".Also appreciated the comments about all the individual players.
Is the game gonna be available on youtube? I couldn't find it here: 2018 NEAFL Rd 3 - NT Thunder vs Sydney Uni - YouTube.
Thanks MattW for your googling efforts too.All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

If it wasn't live streamed they will not have it up on Youtube. There were definitely cameras recording the footage as you could see the vision on the big scoreboard. Perhaps the reason was because the Sydney based NEAFL commentators were at the Sydney Uni game which started slightly later. However, some of us might argue having no commentators on the stream wouldn't be a problem at all!Comment

I was wondering if/when they'd unleash Blakey. I think there's a week or two before he joins the rest of the Allies squad to prepare for the Division One U18 championships.
Plenty of U17s get an early exposure to NEAFL (including Mills, who played a lot of games as an U17 and was highly influential, even at that age) so it's probably just down to Blakey's back injury in the second half of last year that we've had to wait this long.
I think we'll get a much better idea of what kind of player he might become (position wise) watching him play at NEAFL level - not necessarily on first outing - than was possible at U18 level. The most draftable academy prospects have tended to find their feet and look comfortable pretty quickly at NEAFL level.Comment

Awesome to see Blakey get a game - shame it appears NEAFL aren't going to be streaming the game, as we can't make it up the highway this weekend"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
