Is Longmire cooked?

Don't want him as our coach. There are far more deserving people in that line before him.
I really think that job needs to go to someone: A) from the club; and B) far more experienced.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I don't mind our next coach coming from outside the club, but agree that Stevie J is very inexperience. I like the fact that he has been at 3 clubs now, but really needs a few more years in the coaching game I think.Comment

What's this about Stevie J being head of football? I thought they had Charlie Gardiner lined up. Did I miss something?

Still... Stevie J has to earn his stripes. He should go an coach at some other team (about 12 maybe) before he can come back in an "executive" coaching position (i.e. 2IC).
Obviously, you can see I don't like him. I've never liked him. He was a very dirty player.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Apologies for infecting this thread with something most directly about Hawthorn, but I thought a couple of Clarkson's comments were highly pertinent to the bemoaning of a lack of a gameday "plan B".

It was strange of them to go in with so many tall forward types - Roughead, Gunston, Ceglar, McEvoy and Nash - in the wet and against Richmond's smaller lineup. And that's after Schoenmakers was a late withdrawal.Comment

Doubt it will stop some of the "gurus" on this forum knowing better than Longmire and Clarkson. Glad he called out the journos- there are far, far too many of them writing absolute nonsense.Comment

Clarko's Plan A:- Ridicule the tactics other teams use against the Hawks.
- Complain to the AFL CEO about those tactics.
- Say there are not tactics in football.
- Have umpires train with the team.
- If Plan A fails, then criticize the media for not understanding the intricacies of his game plan.
Clarko's secret Plan B:- Infect RWO forum with chatter about himself, thus distracting RWO commentators from writing critical comments which the Swans' coaching staff rely on to develop their own game plan.

I have seen the 2014 GF once and I recall he did a few unexpected things on gameday that worked very much in his favour.
The fact he does have a strong system means on the occasion he does something unexpected it is all the more effective. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

I can sense that if this game continues to go the way it's going then the RWO jungle drums will again begin to beat loudly for Horses head...
