Giants could be quite unsettled with multiple changes, uncertain form , a full house of Swans fans , their inexperience in finals (compared to Swans long standing record) .
two previous consecutive losses.
I don’t think they are any shoein.
If they do progress, good luck to them , however SYDNEY are no mugs at this finals caper.
Well I do want the kids to have another final at the G (I think West Coast will beat Pies).
They need to implement multiple changes, because the team that they put out in the last round wont win a final.Comment

Beyond getting to play the derby final at home, GWS didn't have much to play for in Rd 23, while Melbourne most certainly did. So I feel they may have taken it a little easier. Will certainly come out all fired up on Saturday I feel."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

They are not to be underestimated.
If they get their mojo back they'll be hard to stop.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

Their equivalent of Reid in fragility is Deludio. Do either play ?
And I expect both teams to play with finals fericious-ness.
But I just dont think GWS making 4 plus changes is that unsettling. Especially as they are getting back to the round 21 side which was on a pretty good wining streak.Comment

There is very little separating us and GWS. I can see them coming at us physically the way they did in the 2016 ANZ final.
Their best is probably better than our best, and I'd imagine they will field a slightly more experienced team. However we have won the
last three games against them, so maybe we are working them out a bit better these days. A 50/50 game if ever there was one.Comment

Umpires for all games has been announced.
Who's in charge? AFL reveals umpires for finals - AFL.com.au
We get Margetts, Stevic, Williamson. We'll need to be at least a five goal better team to win this now.....
KTigers.....your 50/50 game just became a 70/30 game in GWS favour....
Why do the AFL always inflict Stevic on us in important games??? As I've said repeatedly in the past.....it can't be just coincidence!Last edited by stevoswan; 5 September 2018, 12:25 PM.Comment

Are we there yet?
I'm going to pick up my tickets at lunch time.
Hurry up Saturday.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Absolutely would not surprise me if they pick Reid this week. The safe play would be to get him through a NEAFL game and give McCartin the finals experience, but theres no next week if we lose in any case.
I'm not confident one way or another as GWS are a dangerous team with their best players in. I dont believe Greene played earlier in the year and no Nick Smith to nullify him this week.
GWS are 3-9 vs top 8 teams so perhaps their form line was deceiving, but still worry about their full strength line up.He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Hence we are very conservative.Comment

I don’t think a Gf would be the same scenario especially given the dogs didn’t have a strong ruck division. Mills vs Marsh selection was already bad enough that day.He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Given our form at the SCG, I hypothesise that they tanked to avoid playing us on their dung heapComment

So many forecasting this game will be brutal, aggressive, physical and full of bullying.
The main aggressor now coaches our team, the winner still has 3 more games to go all the way.
Particularly with Stevic watching/pouncing this is a game where the Swans really need to play the ball and tackle fairly, no slings or Ill disciplined acts.
Forget the brutality , play amazing footy!!Comment
