What do you think of Cameron, Ludwig? Pretty much in the best list every week and does seem to dominate NEAFL. I understand the jump to AFL is big, but what more can he do to get selected, especially given the big discrepancies in the hit outs?

I think the scenario is different for a small forward where basic speed and skill matters more that body size and strength, which is where I feel, and have always felt, Blakey is struggling. Wicks awareness and skills as well as his speed is up to scratch.Eleven tackles and close to 40 possessions, plus good goal kicking ability should be enough to warrant replacing Ronke, who is in poor form.

That's not to say that CO'R doesn't warrant inclusion along with Fox.Both of them were outstanding against GWS.

You're getting mixed up. Wicks had 11 tackles but only 18 disposals. COR was the one with 40 disposals.

I'm not sure if there's something negative about Cameron that the coaches see that we don't, otherwise, I can't see why he hasn't been given more opportunities to play senior footy. Usually players with consistent strong NEAFL performances get a few opportunities to show what they can do at AFL level, but this doesn't seem to be the case for Darcy. This is especially true given that Naismith hasn't been available since 2017 and Sinclair, for all his good work, is not a strong ruckman. The team is not winning, why not try something different?

I reckon his game against Gold Coast last year might have something to do with it. He got monstered in that game.

He hardly played. I think it was no more than 50% game time. The whole team got monstered, so it's hard to single out one player.

In any case, I don't know why we're keeping him on the list if we don't play him.

I think the limited game time was a reaction to how poorly he played.

I’m in favour of giving him an extended make or break run now.

Ooops!! You are right, thanks Ugg. Did he not have a about 37 possessions the previous week though? I might have conflated the two.

Just had a chance to watch the last half of the game that I missed.
Surprised at how well Pink has progressed. He looks better than Melican in his movement and is a beautiful kick. He should get an opportunity this year.
Stoddart looked very composed, moves well and again has a great left boot. Would like to see him get an opportunity.
Fox and COR looked good on ball. Both were very hard at it and Fox shows a good turn of pace. How Clarke is judged to be better than these two is a mystery.
Hopefully the coaches will give a few of these guys a go throughout the season. We need to sort the wheat from the chaff before season's end.

Sounds like Reynolds is getting the travelling emergency experience.
