Rowbottom is going to be a good player, love to see him get AFL game time on ball at some point this season. Stoddart is another who shows something, composed off half back. Rose is a good kick, would like him to have a final opportunity at some stage with a run of 3-4 games playing mid / forward.
I thought that Clarke was our best that quarter. Rowbottom and Bell still good. Ronke and Wicks busy, without really making much of a case for promotion. Ling made an appearance: hopefully he'll play the whole second half.
With what the commentators are saying is a five goal wind, we should put the game out of reach in the third quarter.
Uni came home with the wind and at one stage kicked 6 goals in a row. However we had a big enough lead to never be in any real trouble.
Rowbottom very good in the midfield, consistenly won the clearances. Clarke was better than last week but I'm still not a fan.
Very impressed by McInerney today, both with his outside run but also a little surprisingly could match it on the inside as well. I liked his calmness when under pressure, very smart player.
Ronke started well and showed a lot more energy than last week but faded in the 2nd quarter.
Rose hurt his chances of a senior spot with some quite selfish play going for goals from tough spots when it would have been better to look for a teammates.
Amartey took over the number 1 ruck spot from Cameron and played well there.
Wicks played mainly forward with spells in the midfield and showed his tackling prowess again, finished with 13.
Menzel played the full game which is encouraging, did some classy things including a nice left foot finish.
Ling sat out the first quarter, played the last 3 as a defender. Still struggling to get the ball though.
Reynolds had his best game so far, looked a lot more comfortable today.

Great summary. I thought Clarke was much better this week. Rowbottom continues to impress. Armatey played a good first half. Menzel was classy in his marks and general play, but I did not see any tackles. Ling is just not getting th ball at the moment. I think Rose will never be a team player. Very selfish.
We really need 3 players on this list to lift their possession tallies over the next few weeks being Stoddart, Ling and McInerney. We want them getting at least 20 to 25 touches consistently for a 3 or 4 week period. These three are our best young ball users that we need to come on and get into the senior team after some really strong form. Ling in particular has great evasion when he tries to take things on and is a brilliant kick and decision maker. The other two offer great speed, take the game on with their run and are both also generally lovely kicks.
We really need these three to be in our senior side by seasons end after some strong NEAFL form in the lead up!

Why? Which three players who played in the senior team yesterday do you think these three can/will overtake? I know you'll nominate Jack as one. Who are the other two?
It seems that Hayden McLean has become our latest mystery man. Hasn't played since round two, not on the injury list. We did sign him for the whole season, didn't we?
