A brief interview with Darryn Cresswell about the famous knee incident. There's a bit of doctor's advice near the end, which I find quite amusing.
Past players - what are they up to?

What i found amusing is Mitch Cleary mentioned during a live cross on Agenda Setters last night hosted by Kane Cornes, that he doesn't think a B&F winner has ever been dropped the following year after just 4 rounds.
It has been revealed this morning Kane Cornes himself was dropped after R4 in 2010 after winning the B&F!Comment

Congrats to winning the B&F, or being dropped? If I was a Carlton seniors player, I'd wanna be dropped too.
There was some analysis I saw of Hayward and Ainsworth's heat maps. Both are essentially spending their time darting up and down the wing trying to mop up mistakes and cover for Carlton's inability to move the ball and barely any time inside f50, despite being goal scorers. It's a debacle of a system they've got going down there.

Will's stats so far this year are even below his career averages. As I've said for years....he goes where the ball 'aint.

Luke Parker has been a revelation for North this season, playing across half back and taking plenty of intercept marks. He had another outstanding game against Brisbane, with some suggesting he's in AA contention at this early stage.
Good on him.Comment

I've noticed in a couple of the Swans 'Behind The Scenes" videos this season Ryan Clarke hanging out with the players. Great to see him still around and supporting the lads.
He obviously made some great mates while playing for us.....and/or has he got a role at the club?

Founded a pay per use gym access company called Goer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s promoting it.I've noticed in a couple of the Swans 'Behind The Scenes" videos this season Ryan Clarke hanging out with the players. Great to see him still around and supporting the lads.

3 former Swans affiliated players taken in the mid-season draft
former academy product, ruckman Caleb May 208cm by the Dogs
previous Swan mid-season draftee Hugo Hall-Kahan188cm by the Crows
former Swans academy defender Liam Puncher195cm to Collingwood (how many players with ties to the Swans does one club want?! They’ve been taking players off us for decades!)Comment

Belated Vale to former Swan Neil Daniher. Signed with us but traded without ever playing. One of the worst trades ever. But one of the nicest guys (& families)👍 1Comment

Colin O'Riordan has been chosen as the coach of Ireland for the upcoming women's international series. Dual flag coach, new Swans mentor to lead Australia and Ireland rep footy sides."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi final👍 1Comment

As every bit as important as the big name academy players are, those that are coming through like this that find their ways onto AFL lists are critical to supporting the model going forward. When clubs like bitchfest St Kilda have a moan, we are starting to get quite a decent list of examples of players we didn't take that have been good enough to be picked up by other clubs over time, thereby highlighting the key role it is playing in enhancing the overall player depth in footy.3 former Swans affiliated players taken in the mid-season draft
