Perhaps not the right thing to say but I feel he should have retired a few years ago. The impact of repeated head knocks and concussion is life altering and permanent. Not sure if you need a NYT subscription but this is with reading. Truly frightening. I now wince when I see my daughter head the ball at soccer.

I feel for Patty, but it is just a game.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Thanks for the links. I'm also surprised that the decision wasn't made a couple of years ago. Though I suppose that people were just being naturally optimistic. However, as the below article linking concussion to dementia explains, people probably shouldn't be too optimistic, when it comes to repeated head knocks. Essentially the pathophysiology is: a concussion damages axons; for structural support, the axons contain tau protein; when damaged, this tau protein is released; tau tangles then form in the brain; these tangles increasingly hinder efficient brain function; eventually this becomes dementia.

I can't understand GWS trading strategies.

They gave up two picks, 12 & 18 which had a pick value of 2253.

For pick 6 which has a value of 1751.

Now pick three has a point value of 2234, pick four 2034, and pick five, our pick, 1878.

So if there is a bid on Green, which there will be in the first five picks, they don't have the points now but before they trading they did???

Are they just being very greedy in trying to get a top player and Green?

But they also have i think three other academy players, some rated highly, which they need to have points for.

So if they use up their points, they should be some good players for us to pick up.

I agree. Their strategy only makes sense to me if they don’t want Green, And/or are going to do a deal with Melbourne for pick 3.

This is a very sad case....I really feel for the kid. Hopefully, it doesn't effect the way Tom goes about his footy.

I have been away for a while so I apologise if this has been already talked about.
Now that Tom Papley is still with the club will he still be part of the leadership group.

I'd want to hope so. It would be a way for the club and his peers to effectively state their opinion of him hasn't changed. If he is removed or replaced, you'd think that he's gone for sure at the end of 2020.

At this rate, Tippett’s record might fall by the end of the year - quick, close this thread down within the next 60 pages!!

                          I was just contemplating :

Is more or less RWO forum reading and contribution time better for ones mental health ????

If I average 15mins a day reading RWO and I replaced this with 15mins of yoga instead - would I be happier ?

Sensei Ludwig what say u ?

Depends of whether or not people are being silly.
