Looking forward to this one. Could be the first genuinely chilly night game of the year though, so bring your warm clothes!

Been a while since a home win vs the Hawks, so many close ones recently. Feels like our turn.

I've tipped the Swans, which I would never normally do against the Hawks, based on their performance against Essendon last week.

A lot of good players in both teams. But combined the teams are 9-and-15 for the season so far. Hard to pick.

          No changes

          Starting benches

          Rose Menzel Kennedy Dawson
          Morrison Glass Scully Moore

Which would indicate Dawson in defence and Rose in midfield (at least partly)

I'm never confident playing Hawthorn, especially at the SCG. Plus we're coming off the bye.

Can we please win and win well!

No confidence against the Hawks. Longmire has been Clarkson's bunny since 2012.clarkson longmire1.png

Generally I'm feeling confident. Our recent form has been better. Though there's a nagging doubt in the back of my mind, that is wary of the possibility, that we'll let Hawthorn play at their tempo and we will be too cautious. But; if we both move the ball rapidly out of the clearances and rebound boldly, then our host of dangerous forwards should put the game away.

Just watch Worpel tonight (ie the player we should have drafted).

Dawson warming up with the backs. Rose forwards. Clarke and Florent on the wings and Jones on the inside.

We have to retain Papley at all costs (not saying he's going anywhere). Beautiful kick.

Well, that was a handy start.

Gee Dermie and Dunstall gave Dawson a big rap just before the start of the game!
