Thought it must have been as Swans players & staff were so warm in their greetings. Hope you gave him a cheer as well. He will always be a Swan to us.

Was Malceski a runner for Suns today? I didn’t notice during match but various Swans staff and players went to shake hands and talk to one of their runners after the match. And Kennedy gave him a big hug. He was wearing a cap which hid his face, plus too far away for me to recognise who it was.Comment

As well as possessing a brilliant left boot, Dawson's really composed and can take a mark. He always seems to find a way to make space for himself.Comment

I dunno, maybe I'm just a bit disappointed, because since he's an ex-basketballer, I was expecting him to have more of a leap, but he hardly gets off the ground. His skills are okay, but he doesn’t seem likely to rack up the possessions, either. Nichols probably had the better of the rucking today, but Knoll did some good work, and seems to be developing a combination with Fox.

Rowbottom is a gun. For those looking for the JPK long-term replacement, look no further.
It appeared to me that Dawson was iced up for a corkie rather than a muscle strain.
If we bring in another ruckman next week (as opposed to playing Aliir), I would prefer Amartey to Knoll, even though Amartey is nowhere ready for AFL footy. The fact that he's played with the team for a year and a half means he knows our system. He's also a better player around the ground. I would go with Amartey as being the best option in a difficult situation.Comment

Incidentally I used to play basketball with a guy who was very prone to shoulder dislocations. He wouldn't even go off the court, just pop it back in and play on. Eventually it got so loose that it would dislocate at least once in nearly every game and he had to have surgery. Obviously Sinclairs injury is different - he seemed to be in a lot of pain whereas it didn't really bother my friend at all.Comment

Was Dawson injured towards the end of the game? I might have misheard but it sounded like one of the commentators said he had ice on his body.
It was a much better second half. We were able to move the ball much better...although kicking inside 50 needs improvement.
It seemed like the Suns tired and they were turning the ball over.
I thought Aliir did well in the ruck. It will be interesting what we do next week. Essendon also have injured rucks.
Also thought it was Rowbottom's best game clean in close and kicked well.
Good to see Ronke snag a couple.
I feel a little more positively than some. Good win.Comment

Only saw bits and pieces of the game but my lord Jordan Dawson , can kick it , can clunk it , and can absolutely nail a tackle . That’s a pretty good skill set on the young fella. When can we upgrade that two year extension ?

Had to leave at 3/4 time to go home and make dinner for my visiting nephew and his new GF (the sacrifices you make) .
Lots of sloppiness (couldn’t have just been the swirling wind) up till then , so was surprised by the 7 goal win in the end.
Despondent about Sinkers injury, however Aliir is such a versatile player, his tap ruck work is outstanding, excellent timing. But he needs to ruck AND rush to full back !Comment

A wins a win!!! We need to smash Carlton next week - but our injury toll is mounting. Can we limp into the 8?I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Already happened m, strangely announced on Friday evening which is usually when you bury unfavourable press releases.Comment

Boring first half. Strong second half.
Dawson is a gun. Heeney worked into some form. Papley continues to play well.
Rowbottom for Clarke was always a good call. Has so much more upside.
I really liked Aliir in the ruck. Definitely would keep it this way next week rather than bring in a sub standard AFL player. Shame Cameron is injured when he finally gets a chance!Comment
