Now there is a name from yester year! Matthew Davis. Lost in history. I believe he returned to South Australia when he did not make it in the AFL and became a solid SAFL player.Comment

There don’t feel like there are enough “outs” there. Three “ins” who played seniors last week. Two outs. But we know that Reid and Hewett are also out from the senior team, and, unless I’ve forgotten someone, the only probable senior “in” who didn’t play VFL last week is McCartin.
Good to see Fox back.Comment

I think it's pointing to an unexpected return for Hickey or Franklin to replace Reid. Suspect it's Buddy as Hickey back with Sinclair and McLean still in the team leads to one rather tall and relatively immobile forward line.
In: Franklin McCartin O'Riordan Stephens
Out: Blakey Brand Hewett Reid
Campbell was last week's sub so he's not really an out (don't like how the AFL site lists last week's subs as outs if they are not in the XXII this week)
But also based on the first 2 VFL rounds, the sub also doesn't play VFL, so I still think we are missing one player?Last edited by ugg; 30 April 2021, 05:10 PM.Comment

Thorne is stiff to be omitted. He kicked 3 goals on the trot in the last quarter.Comment

I suspect Thorne will be a late in replacing one of Blakey Clarke Bell Brand who will be the med sub. My guess is Bell.Comment

Enjoyable 1st quarter so far. Decent pressure and some nice tackles laid at points too, but not doing too well in midfield thus far.
Great to see Robbie Fox back out there too, and a nice grab in there too. Sheather has had a couple of promising moments too. Campbell looking good as well, enjoying the little bit less frantic pace at this level."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
