Who is the player in no 64 for the Swans? I’m struggling to identify him.

Yes, very good return from Fox. Campbell generally looking too good for the VFL. Nice to see that our beanpole ruckman can tackle, as well as tap. I wish the commentator had a better grasp of what our players look like. Also could do without the umpires giving Geelong charity goals. And I really hate the race back to the fifty at throw ins rule.Enjoyable 1st quarter so far. Decent pressure and some nice tackles laid at points too, but not doing too well in midfield thus far.
Great to see Robbie Fox back out there too, and a nice grab in there too. Sheather has had a couple of promising moments too. Campbell looking good as well, enjoying the little bit less frantic pace at this level.

Who's a good mate of Papley. Who we possibly signed as encouragement to keep Tom in Sydney?Comment

Not going along too badly, though I feel he does at times make simple errors (dropping marks he shouldn't etc) that don't help. But putting some good form together.
Shame our kicking for goal has been so wayward this quarter - its a low scoring game but has been entertaining so far. Jenkins the forward target difference at the moment."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Blakey just looks lost. A lot of effort but he just looks like he's a few steps behind. Maybe a run off HB might do his confidence a world of good.Comment

I was impressed with how McDonald came into the game that quarter. He took a few marks including a good contested one which he then converted from a tough position. I think that Campbell, Fox and McDonald will be back in the seniors soon. Ling and Gould were a little more prominent that quarter. We are not getting enough out of players like Lewis and Gray. We have had enough play to be at least level but poor conversion and kicks forward have hurt us.Comment

Thanks for identifying 64. I’m at the ground on my phone and it’s a bit of a pain to find things in the ether at times.
My next question was going to be who the big fella for Geelong in number 11 is but that question has been answered already.
It feels like an even contest around the middle but the Cats are a little crisper when in possession* and especially entering their forward line. That said, we had enough set shots in the quarter to build the score up a bit more.
* They also benefit from not having Lewis Taylor playing for them.Comment

Being at the ground, do you know what happened to Paddy McCartin? He went off looking a bit sore, towards the end of the first quarter and I don't think he's been back since. Thanks for identifying 64. I’m at the ground on my phone and it’s a bit of a pain to find things in the ether at times.

Amartey is a very capable player. Will Gould seems a bit lost and not terribly motivated. Fox a level above. He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment

He has to stop spending it before he has it - 2 or 3 times today has not helped himself Amartey by trying to be too clever. But is increasingly doing a lot right."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
