I would expect less than 20 as there are only 18 vacancies across all clubs and there may be passes. Five clubs have no selections and five have two. Swans have just one.

Spot on. It pisses me off the number of people who don’t see his value. Absolutely clueless.

He’s become the new Nick Smith. I agree he’s both vital and underrated

The Herald Sun in Melbourne is reporting that the Swans are keen on a ruckman out of the mid-season draft. The person mentioned is a super tall ex-rugby union player currently in our Reserves team, 209cm Lachlan McAndrew.

On the game today, and the fact that sides are now going big up forward to exploit our smallish backline, I think we should draft P.McCartin this week. Forget about a project ruckman, he is likely to be there for the Rookie Draft.

I'm quite keen to see how McAndrew develops, but I don't see any real need to draft him now? Rookie listing him next season seems more logical. Unless they've heard that other clubs are keen? Though that seems a touch unlikely, as he's still learning the game.

People say the Krakouer brothers had a special instinct for what the other brother was doing or planning to do, which made them such a dangerous duo. Maybe we could have the same with the Tom and Punchy show doing a smackdown at the SCG.

                      You misspelled Paddy.

There was a scratch match in ressies today against Carlton. Any feedback from anyone?

I'm really not convinced by Stephens. Doesn't seem to get much ball, nor does he really hurt the opposition with the few possessions he does get. He has rapidly been surpassed by many of his immediate contemporaries. With JMac, Oli, Campbell and Gulden, we are well stocked with guys who can run on a wing and have shown more . We also are well stocked with inside mids and he has not shown any hardness to indicate he will make it on the inside. If it comes down to letting go some younger talent to keep guys like Dawson and Hewett, Stephens must be high on the list, especially if we were to receive a good offer.

Way too early to judge Stephens. Interrupted pre-season and still a young body. You would have delisted McVeigh in his first few years on your criteria.

Not delisting anyone. But we will have tough decisions to make and would prefer not to lose Hewett and Dawson IF it comes down to that.
