Yes. I find this Big Footy draft order chart useful.

I would be very surprised if we hear anything this week in regards to Swans list changes. We often take a long time compared to other clubs to announce anything, and don't expect it'll be much different this year - especially given we have a few bigger names left to make 'calls' on in terms of negotiations etc, so probably will want to have a more definitive idea of what is happening with them before making announcements about list changes.

The answer I expected, but didn't want to hear. I'm always so impatient this time of year.

            SCG Food & Beverage Stands ;
            Traded in : Merivale
            Traded out : Delaware North
So assuming the comp isn't Covid-ed out of existence next year and we can resume our regular spots in the stands, there should
be actual food sold at the SCG for the first time in many years.

Merivale has ruined so many good Pubs in Sydney. Lucky the food and drink at the SCG is already rock bottom.

Speaking of SCG, I wonder what next year's "Game Day Experience" will consist of lol. Can't wait to get yelled at by corporates for 3hrs.

I think we’ll hear this week as they will be doing exit interviews before players fly back to their home states

I think the "Game Day Experience" will consist of mask wearers arguing with and getting into fist fights with non mask wearers, Covid
announcements over the PA after every goal and a vaccination clinic set up on the ground during the half time break staffed by retired
Swans players. Membership fees and ticket prices will be way higher than this year. It's going to be awesome.

Maybe for the really obvious ones, but I'd still be quite surprised. We still have no idea what the salary cap for next will be, so hard to make some of those tougher calls that may rely on what happens with some of the bigger names.

Or was it 2011 when Macca became co captain with Goodes etc?

So if Macca is 36yrs of age now ie 1985 baby...........and 2010 was when Macca started to realise his potential he was 25yrs of age

Ollie Florent is 23yrs of age this season 2021
I like this post, but in fairness to McVeigh he won a B&F in 2008 - averaging almost 20 disposals and a goal a game. I recall not being a fan before 2008, but I have terrible judgement is judging a player's potential...

I reckon a fair number of players survival (or lack thereof) won't be related to the salary cap: Gray, Ronke, Brand, Ling etc I can see the first round getting announced this week, with more down the track.

I was a member of the SCG for 25 years before moving out of Sydney a few years back. Trust me, the catering has always been a dog's breakfast.

My fave memory is rising from my seat at a 1pm lunch break at the test cricket one day to join the queue, only to be told the lunch food would be arriving at 2pm. Because you know, with cricket, you can't time food around the known breaks or anything like that . . .

I will start by saying that this is not my preference, but only posing the question as a hypothetical.

Let's assume the stories about our salary cap squeeze are true and we only have enough cap space to sign 2 of Dawson, Parker and Hewett, so one has to be let go.

There's general agreement that Dawson has to stay.

Would it be preferable to keep Hewett and let Parker go? There would be general agreement that Parker is an elite player, arguably our best player, or very close to it. He's consistent, durable and a leader of the club. But here are a few arguments in support of the proposition:
                              • Hewett is 3 years younger than Parker and has also been a durable player.
                              • Parker would likely return a 1st round draft pick as FA compensation, while Hewett would probably only fetch a 2nd round pick.
                              • We would probably save around 200kpa by retaining Hewett instead of Parker, which might be enough to secure both the Dawson and Stephens signings.
                              • Hewett has shown to be a versatile player who can step up when needed and perform at a high level, as has been shown with Mills and Kennedy out of the side.
                              • We have enough depth in our midfield where we can afford to let go of an elite midfielder if the compensation is suitable.

I am also posting this comment for our list management team to consider. They have tipped their hand already that they are willing to let Hewett go if we can't afford everyone. I want to present arguments for an alternative that I believe is at least worth serious consideration.

Well yeah, who would have known back then that the lunch break at the cricket had started at 1PM for the previous hundred or so
years. It's common in the Brewongle for the pies not to be heated up enough to sell and eat until after half time. Whatever you think
of the Merivale venues (and I think they are fine) they will be a major improvement over the current catering company.
