you can make arguments for delisting Bell Gray Clarke Ronke and Ling. not Melican he would be trade bait maybe but when you say delist RB you might as well say delist McDonald Warner Campbell Gulden or McInerney. it is a ridiculous comment.

It was mentioned Bell has already reached a trigger for next year's contract.

may i ask what is so hard to believe about me not rating RB one bit ? for all the flack i get for my views on him no one has offered a single bit of evidence he can play besides a highlights video and his tackle numbers , which i have already said he is good at . forget about me for a minute and ask yourself if you really think he has shown enough to suggest he will be a good player who can be a damaging clearance player or at the contest or be a challenge for opposition mids in any way ?

if someone can teach me how to make a highlights video i'd make you all a video of the amount of times he goes to the exact wrong spot to get the ball which is exactly why he cant get 25 touches to save his life . just no brains for how to play , hes all grunt and no smarts at all . Or the amount of times the play moves on as we transition from back half and then you see RB , a mile behind the play , moving about 1 mile an hour trying to keep up to get down the other end in time , but hte play has moved on already . These are the two main reasons he does NOT win the ball and as a mid if you cant win the ball you will not get anywhere !

nothing personal just read what i say im not hating for no reason , i watch him closely and these are issues he has . I said he can hold his head high as he gave 100 effort today , in the third he was huge with 3 massive tackles but you know what we needed more ?? MORE THAN 3 DISPOSALS ! this is the issue with him over and over and it will continue to be until he fixes his footy brain and his tank and unfortunately these things you are either born with or you are not .

I don't know if it Gardiner or Harley, but whoever is making these decisions should be sacked.

Footywire shows Melican as a RFA when he comes out of contract in 2023. If it's not a mistake, then that would indicate that he's in the top 11 highest paid players at the club (top 25%). Something seems way out of whack there. If that's true, then we could have traded or delisted Melican and had enough money to keep Aliir.

Your are wrong on both accounts:
                  1. RB has fine footy brain and excellent game vision. This is one of his strong points. He is extremely quick to read the play and get a pass off to the right player in a fraction of a second. He's a very good decision maker. You need to watch this aspect of his game in more detail.
                  2. It's not true that you can't fix your tank. As a lifelong serious amateur cyclist, I have a pretty good idea what it takes to build aerobic capacity, and lose it as well. It's training and more training. I don't know what RBs aerobic capacity was before he was injured, but losing training continuity surely affected his tank this year. He should get back in better running form with a full preseason.

he is 20 years old and a lot of other people think he shows a bit. maybe delisting him could be a mistake or at 20.

                    RB at 20 y o ave kicks 9.6 handball 6.9 marks 2.2 goals 0.4 tackles 6.6
brownlow winner Lachie Neale at 20 yo kicks 9.2 handball10.5 marks 3.3 goals 0.3 tackles 1.6

kicks same 4 more handpass and 1 more mark to Neale but RB 5 more tackles per game. As he is still young maybe stick with him for at least 1 more year.

Don't bother bexl. You can roll out every stat in the book that suggests he is tracking along just fine, and you'll get some more diatribe filled with qualitative nonsense such as the earlier post.

Its a simple case of someone desperate to dig all the way to China to somehow prove themselves to be right, no matter how stupid or ridiculous the argument has to get for them to keep digging.

Lol so earlier in the year you told us you can't improve kicking ability, you either have it or you don't. Now you can't improve aerobic capacity either?

Why do players bother training at all then The utter nonsense you will reach for to try and justify your frankly ridiculous arguments is very amusing, and a good tonic on a dissapointing day.

But to think we likely have 6+ months of this @@@@ to put up with until a ball is properly kicked in anger....

My opinion of Rowbottom is somewhere between yours & the majority on RWO. His game time 65% makes it hard to get alot of the footy, if you extrapolate it out to 90% then he would be getting 22/23 touches which was about average for a mid in this game. His tackling is good & pressure is good. Choice of disposal is poor in my opinion (too many bomb kicks around the corner). He is only 20 odd years old & has alot of upside so certainly not a delist option. If he keeps getting the opportunity & can improve his tank (which generally happens after a few preseasons) he is a big chance of being a very good mid.

If melican is earning in the top 25 percent of our list as alleged here, beatson needs to be sacked. His three year deal was no good but if he's being paid what aliir should of then that is terrible list management. Hoping it's just rumours

Chris Judd who is regarded as a player that was very good early in his career ave.18 disposals a game at the same age as RB. and the bloods says RB not having a footy brain stops him getting 25 disposals.
I don't know if it has been mentioned on R & W online but I think it is possible that thebloods has unrealistic expectations.
