Undisciplined, non team act that has put him out for at least 3 weeks. Heeney has to learn to turn the other cheek when niggled by opposition. He is way too good for that, is way too valuable to the team and has clearly cost the team. Also I am partly talking through my kick as I backed him for the Brownlow at 81/1.

Greene was the difference between the 2 teams. 5 goals from 14 says it all. Perplexing why Buckley didn't move Maynard on to him earlier. I wouldn't put Hewett onto him as Greene is way too quick on the lead. It might be a team effort.
How bad is Collingwood going? Forward line is non existent. Buckley must be on the chopping block and so should their chief recruiter. This has been a problem for them since Cloke went sour.Comment

As he pointed to the outside of his hand later to show where he was injured I would say it was a punch. He has made a big difference to the team this year and an undisciplined act will cost us his talent for a while. It was not bad luck.Comment

Remember that our defence leaked points when the game was truly buried in the fourth quarter and this year with the way the game style has changed the pressure up the ground is the only thing that will prevent points being scored against. I reckon Cunningham could do the job on Toby or Jake Lloyd and Cunningham together.Toby Greene may be too strong in the air for Hewett, but in his favour, he did a good job on Dustin Martin. Rampe would normally play Himmelberg, but I think Dawson could take him instead and then Rampe could play on Greene. In any case, Toby has to be tagged all over the ground. He's too much of a weapon to be left on his own.
Our offense is going well, but our defence has been off this year. Maybe it's the rule changes. It's a bit too early to be sure. We should change things up a little to see if we can imp;rove our coverage. Replacing Hewett with Melican or another defender, as mentioned before, is one idea. Melican's one on one defending can be suspect, but he does like to play attacking football and has good speed, so fits in well with our game plan.
The way we're playing now is perfectly set up for Greene to have a big day against us.Comment

Greene plays tall and is very good in the air. Rampe best match up. Melican may come in.Remember that our defence leaked points when the game was truly buried in the fourth quarter and this year with the way the game style has changed the pressure up the ground is the only thing that will prevent points being scored against. I reckon Cunningham could do the job on Toby or Jake Lloyd and Cunningham together.Comment

Greene's marking is very similar to Heeney. Big leap, hits the ball hard, one grab and brings the ball down really quickly to evade
the wandering hands of defenders. If Buddy could mark like these two he'd be up to about 2,000 goals by now.Comment

Was a pretty un-heeney like thing to do. No excuse of course, but wonder what set him off?Undisciplined, non team act that has put him out for at least 3 weeks.
