    Great Intel.

Also I like Sinclair playing as a forward. Seems much more at home there. I remember a few years ago he played as a designated forward and kicked a bag of 5.

Think Sinkers kicking a bag comes along as often as a global pandemic.

      Happy to be proved wrong.

I think they always like him more at a forward/relief ruck. Hopefully Logan rips up for the VFL team.

Really looking forward to seeing Stephens.

But how often has he played as a forward, Mark?

I would like to know the same thing. Wouldn't he be at risk of doing more damage? Maybe he has superhero healing powers ????.

Sinclair is definitely better as a forward first, then second ruck - though the combo of him and McLean is a bit lumbering. But it is what it is, and the coaches will need to manage McDonald through the season.

Love the Stephens in. The coaches must have wanted him to work on something and he’s obviously delivered. But long term, I’m as convinced about him as any young player on our list.

Let McCartin sit on Hawkins’ fat bum, and Melican can take Cameron (fingers crossed). Weirdly, the match up I don’t see is who takes Rohan.

Tbh I would of kept brand in for this very reason. Mills may need to swing back.

There was an article earlier in the year clearly articulating (if my memory is right) that there were some things they wanted Stephens to work on (like there has been continued hinting for the cult brigade around Gould several repeated messages around wanting to see consistent form). He was very good in the reserves game last week and deserves a chance on form.

Astounded Hickey is back, and hope he is fitter than Heeney proved to be last week. Fingers crossed - but I'm guessing maintaining Sinclair is in part to allow us to manage his direct minutes, and to give backup if things go south too.

Good comments. I agree about our forward line, but as you say, it is what it is.

I'm a big fan of Stephens as well and very pleased with his selection this week.

Dawson is the most likely matchup for Rowan, but COR might get the job as well.

Why is Guldon still in the team? He’s getting tired and needs a rest.

How can a player (Hickey) who had an 8 week injury be back after two weeks? Is it a risk to play him.

It appears that “The Bloods” has gotten himself a seat at the selection table. Stephens in for Blakey is a change he’s been calling for all year. Blakey’s versatility would be useful for the medical sub role.
I saw the reserves last week and O'Riordan was the better. Ling missed a lot of targets and was just average.

Stephens played midfield last week and nearly got us the win. Very good in the last quarter.

Yep he was excellent in the whole 2nd half. Definitely deserves his chance.

Very mediocre game by Ling last week. Hasn't shown much in the first 2 VFL games, but I thought last week he was close to poor unfortunately.
