aaaand right on cue, Jai Newcombe the Box Hill player we were keen on in the MSD, so he put a 3.5 yrs financial option on his nomination to be certain to get to the Hawks, has been named to play against us tomorrow night.

So ins for Hawks are this guy, a hard at it mid, likely too O'Meara and Day. Hawks strongest line up for the year? Danger game.

eek, feeling nervous for this one. Got danger written all of it. Doesn't help that I'm going to the game with two Hawthorn friends, who last time we went to a game together Roughhead (I think) kicked a goal with less than a minute to go to win the game and my "friends" proceeded to rib me about it all night

Warner may not be rested as some here, me included, expect.

Warner to undergo testing ahead of Hawthorn

I think he should be rested but it may be an indication that the coaches see this weekends game as the danger game that a lot of us here do.

I'm also doubting that Campbell will come straight back in after the bye, as this quote from the same article alludes:

"Braeden has started some running this week on the AlterG. We expect him to have a slow and steady progress with his running program."

Actually it was Burgoyne in 2016

Later that night we drunkenly stumbled on Bradley Hill on Oxford St Hungry Jacks and I remember telling him something really eloquent along the lines of "free kick Hawthorn"

I was at that game too but went with sympathetic relatives, my daughter (Swans) and her fiance (Cats), so the trip home was far less annoying than yours I'd imagine.

BTW, we were robbed that night.....yet again!

Unfortunately Naismith's ACL has gone again - another reco.

              Terrible luck for him.

Sydney Swans ruckman Sam Naismith has unfortunately suffered a further setback in his return to senior football.

                OUT: Warner
                IN: Bell

                Seriously?

Terrible news about Sam N by the way.

Seems like an underwhelming change. Let's hope Bell takes his chances. He might not have too many left.

I presume you’re unhappy with the Bell selection ...I know I seem to be in the minority on here well apart from the Swans who have a high regard for him including Longmire ..on the Swans website on the team changes he comments on what he brings to the side
I think his physicality and two way running especially in wet weather is such a plus
I was at the game against St Kilda last weekend and was watching him keep warm at the quarter and half breaks as he was the emergency ..he’s such an impressive physique and I’ve watched him a few times ..he’s been chosen as Medical emergency more often than most
I rate him and apart from what he already provides to the team ..he’ll improve game by game and year by year ..he’s still developing

Why not pick someone who’ll be in our next premiership team?
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

I think they've probably picked, what they believe to be, the strongest side for this game.

Maybe I haven't been watching him closely enough. Hope he makes a great impression like Amartey did last week.

The strongest side I’m sure trumps most other ideas
who are you suggesting and what year will our premiership be
I rate Bell and I’ve been really underwhelmed by the comments on him by many ...
I actually think he might be a leader in the firsts at some point if he continues to develop his skills and decision making ..and o see no reason why he won’t ...he’s impressive as a future leader in my opinion

Have to echo others here. Disappointed with Bell. Don't see much in him. Would of liked Taylor to have had a chance but looks like he's already half out the door...
