Well if that doesn't pump up the guys in the VFL nothing will. I'd say that any listed player who plays well tomorrow is a good chance for promotion.

C'mon Blakey, Gould, Stephens and Ling. Play like an AFL spot depends on it!

I’m really hoping that was a tired performance and that we’ll come out a much better side in a couple of weeks.

Obviously I don't understand the rules. Buddy was slammed to the ground and wasn't even allowed to compete, yet no free kick. Endless holding the ball against Hawthorn and 2 frees were paid. because of constant bias umpiring is reason I have not attended a game since 2016. Swans need to make a stand .

The less said about that the better.

I hope Longmire has a go in the press conference - he wont as he is too classy, but that was seriously the worst umpiring I've seen since that black stain in history that was the fairypuppies, especially in the first half.

When Wayne Carey openly whines about umpiring in the commentary box, you know its been pretty ordinary (While I have zero time for him as a person, he is far better than any of those other donkeys in the channel 7 commentary box - bar Jude down on the sideline of course)

There were huge signs we were struggling for energy last week, but that was really poor tonight.

Just think how the @@@@s and pees turned it around in a fortnight after the break, hopefully we can do the same. Will need to be 100x better than that to be any hope against Port in Adelaide, where we can probably expect just as ordinary officiating too.

Either the coaching staff don't understand the rules or we are clearly officiated differently. IMO Chamberlain is a disgrace he is so bias It's embarrassing to watch.

Hats off to big boy he was enormous tonight. We had no match

The backline didn't compete well in 1 on 1s.
The midfield got smashed in both clearances and two way running.
The forward line is full of players who don't work hard enough without the footy. And they clearly haven't spent enough time together - not a lot of cohesion in how they lead and set up for marking contests.

Same. And a long weekend too! I’ll probably be agro for the next three days.

There were not many redeeming features in tonight’s loss. We pretty much got the worst of everyone. Any question mark we might have had over any player was highlighted in the game.

Lloyd tried hard and it was nice for Amartey to find the goals, but there wasn’t a lot to celebrate.

We looked flat and they were up and about. It was a pity we couldn’t find a way, but I just don’t understand how they can’t make a fixture where teams off a bye only play another off a bye. It seems pretty simple.

After two 6-day breaks. You'd think the relevant algorithm was better configured.

The basics of a fair fixture elude any understanding at AFL house - what chance of avoiding stupid complex outcomes like that is there? Zero.

God afl is such a @@@@ sport where any free kick can be anything you want it to be. Yeah we deserved to lose but the last 3 weeks have shown that umpiring interpretations of normal rules.can swing so drastically in favour of whoever you want it to favour

Yeah we were amazing in the first few weeks but you look at the free kick count then too.
We won the free kicks in easily cause we were the underdog and we were the romantic team to go for

Until umpiring is made a legit career this sport will always be rigged

Yes I think we deserved to lose tonight but god was the umpiring awful. @@@@ing fix it or what's the point

As barracuda said before the game, we've run Wicks too long. He hasn't played well for several weeks. He's a step behind and ill-disciplined.
