Great effort by our backline. Cunningham, McCartin and Rampe all awesome. Blakey a great addition off half back too.

    Captains game by Parker.

Nice to win without Buddy playing well.

What about an apology for Blakey. So many people on here doubted him now the defence looks better with him off half back.

Strong in the air, great run off half back and good left foot kicking.

There is your strategy to beat the Dogs. Will be interesting if other sides do this. I reckon we beat Richmond with tactics early in the season too. Great job coaching staff.
Tactics today were spot on- take a bow, coaching panel. Dawson, Mills, Parker awesome!

In fact, the whole team was great. Well done Bloods: you beat all 25 of them!

Another great win!! Go the Bloods!!! Beat 25 players today, despite Buddy’s radar being awry. We would’ve won by 6 goals if he’d kicked straight.
Dawson was magnificent, and the midfield battle tightened up after half time. Swapping Blakey and Dawson’s positions has been an absolute winner. I really believed we were in with a chance today, and the boys proved that faith was not misplaced. Made a Sunday in lockdown fun!

The move of Blakey to defence has turned out like we hoped for. As expected, it released Dawson to play through the midfield where he's been enormous.

Not everyone was on today, but we played so well as a team; disciplined and solid 2 way play all game.

It's not really a worry, but JPK is probably no longer in our best 22. I suppose we will continue to play him, but we will have better options, especially when Warner and Campbell are fit to play.

He finally seems to be 'coming of age' per say. As others have said, not a high possession getter, but increasingly important in the structure, and has good hands to boot. And when he can't mark it, increasingly is being able to use his strength and bodywork to get the ball to advantage more often then not. When Heeney finally finds some form (don't know what is going on with him but he can't grab a mark for the life of him at the moment like he normally can), gives us a really potent forward line mix.

What has impressed me the most the last fortnight is we've taken two quite different game plans in, directly tailored to the opposition we are playing, and pulled them both off to a tee. That is a sign that we are getting things right in the coaches box, and the players are responding.

Still plenty of ups and downs to come, but mark my words this team is headed well and truly in the right direction.

Dawson and Mills outstanding for mine, but so many players did well today and contributed to another absolute team effort.
                      Ditto.

I do worry he will be exposed at times by better forwards for a lack of 'defensive nous', but I have no doubt he can offer a lot coming off the half back line too. He generally (not always - as per the wonderful 'MCSesque golf shot' like air swing!) uses the ball fairly well too when he kicks long by foot.

Massive credit has to go to the coaching staff. They got a lot right against Port I thought tactically, and have had it spot on the last fortnight as well.

I have to disagree with this. He is not what he used to be but keeps playing his role in the contest - 10 contested possessions, 4 tackles, and heaps of dirty work.

We know he will stand up and be counted when it is needed too! But isn't it great that we are winning games like we are without having to rely on him to be outstanding as part of that - but when the going gets tough, we know Kennedy will get going. And he is still having an impact on the contest overall too.

The advantage of having Kennedy and Parker is that they know how to slow down a game and they have experience to calm down younger players in stressed situations. They are both fabulous leaders on field and we shouldn't even think about dropping either of them
