The GWS ins are Mumford, Reid and Green. Apart from Green, the team seems a bit top-heavy and old. I think we can beat them with speed and precise ball use.

Also Bell is a more physical presence. He has a very impressive physique. My son calls him Mini Buddy!Comment

Bell must have improved out of sight since being dropped from the senior side. I can't see how he's an improvement over either Fox or Campbell. I would have kept Fox in the team and made Campbell the sub.
With Mills out, Warner is a no brainer, helping to beef up our depleted midfield.
I guess the thinking is that Bell is preferred as a pressure forward to Campbell, and we don't need both COR and Fox in the same side, something I used to think was so, but now prefer Fox to McInerney in defence, with JMac back on the wing.
I have to say, I'm a bit worried about our defensive coverage of a big Giant forward line.Comment

Reid seems to do pretty well on Papley. Not sure why - Paps should kick about 10 on him but it is what it is......Comment

There’s maybe a gentleman’s agreement between Longmire and Cameron that only one Sam Reid can play in a final.Comment

That would be a very sensible matchup. Let's see if it happens.
The Giants are looking very beufy. Can we outrun them or will they crush us like an empty beer can?
The weather is looking dry and not windy.
Umps are looking wet and soggyComment

Yes, that's correct. I copied the changes from the Sydney Swans website which was in error. I was wondering when Campbell dropped out."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Once Kennedy and Mills didn't come up, fair enough.
Bell is no star, but Campbell hasn't done a lot the last two weeks - and that's ok, he's young, undercooked, and will be fine. It happens to first year players and no concern.
Bell has a job to do, so I hope he succeeds. And if Chad has a reasonable contribution to make after three months out, that's ok too.
Suspect it means more time for both Paps and Heeney in the square/stoppages. And for all the talk this week about Hewett's future, he has a massive role to play as Parker's big bodied companion in the contest.
As for Stevic, there's a word starting with c for him. One invokes defamation, one the swear filter. But let's win by so much it doesn't matter.
Let's slice em apart.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Not convinced by Bell in but can see the rationale. And all our midfielders will need to have a good game for us to be a chance with both mills and Kennedy out. Glad to see us not carrying injured players in if they aren't right however."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Can people with a better feel for the game than me such as TheBloods, Barracuda, Faunac, MCS, Im Uniformed and GoSwannis help me understand Bell ahead of Campbell.
My simple mind said play Campbell because he can play forward, left wing (if Dawson goes inside mid) and half back. Gives the team better versatility and skills.Comment

I can't say that I am surprised by these changes. Leaving Mills and Joey out is better than risking them breaking down on the day. Chad is an obvious in. I posted earlier in the week that I thought Campbell might miss out due to lack of impact last game. While Bell is not people's favourite player he is strongly built, runs and can play a defensive role. I think he is a better option than bringing in Stephens or leaving Campbell in. Fox is the unlucky guy in my view. I'm a bit of a fan of him.Comment
