Regarding Bell- I confess I don’t quite understand the role he plays but I’m sure he has instructions from Horse and other coaches. I played HF flank a century ago and it was a graveyard then- lucky to touch the ball half a dozen times in a game. The game is so much quicker now that I can’t notice the pressure applied by some of our forwards like Wicks and Bell. That said, they shouldn’t be on the field at the same time!

I’ve been pretty harsh on Bell throughout the year and don’t quite see what he brings. However, if we get the win and he gets only a few possessions then I’m all for it. I will actually feel a bit sorry for him if we happen to lose as it won’t be his fault entirely but is likely to cop a lot of criticism if he plays to his normal stats.

Go Belly and go Swans. I actually think if we can jag this win, we have a real chance to get to the big dance.

Wicks didn't do too good a job on Brad Hill few weeks back. I would be hesitant to put him on Whitfield. I would leave Wicks closer to goal, and leading up into the midfield when needed.

I think recall Hewett playing on Whitfield in the past. He is capable, but needed in the middle with Mills and Kennedy both likely out for the game.

I would consider Campbell on Whitfield. I'm not sure how it would go. Maybe whoever is closest to him when the Giants get the ball should try to stick with him for that play. It's not a good idea to give him too much freedom. The Giants also have Kelly, who is similar in ability to hit targets in dangerous spots.
I think Whitfield will play on the wing. With Idon back they have been able to play Lachie further up the ground. All the boys we have playing the wings are great defensively. Dawson, Ollie and Macca. If Whitfield does start on HB then either Wicks or Bell get him.

OMG that’s twice today that I have agreed with you???? this is confusing me but you’re right what willl impact on this game will be the performance of the players that are selected from 1-20 not the peripheral selections.
              We can do this ????

We need a Qualifying Final 2003 type performance, and who is to say we are not capable of it?

To some degree yes, some degree no. That Port team then was a @@@@load better then the Plastics team that will run out tomorrow. But we are probably a little weaker tomorrow comparatively to the team that run out that day in 2003 (compared to its best 22).

What a day of footy that was however!

Why do we always get this scumbag? In finals, whenever we play Hawthorn.....what gives? Oh wait....it's the A(V)FL.

Cracking game. Would you settle with channelling the spirit of that game? Belief and effort will see us home. We finished 3.5 games ahead of these guys for a reason.

All the Giants planning this week will be focused on how to stop The Chad. They will probably forget that Buddy Franklin is even in the game. When Chad comes on the ground the Giants will turn to pillars of salt, then crumble to the ground.

Cameron will say in his post match presser: "If only Mills and Kennedy had played we could have beaten them, but Chad cut through our tsunami like a blue marlin."

Visions of Chad bursting toward goal have be been circulating in my brain all day. He'll kick 7 goals. 2 on the right, 2 on the left and 3 headers. Spectacular!

The Chad: Makes 'game changer' sound so inadequate.

Because they were giving Campbell a chance to prove himself and he blew it.

                              Good to see Warner back!
Bell would have been selected only when it was sure that both Mills and Joey can't play. He would be one of our 23rd ~ 30th players in our list.

Well, there are some on here that see themselves as 'AFL coach-worthy'......and like to blow their trumpets, which often leads to embarrassment but no less horn blowing.
