The media has whipped itself into a frenzy now. aFL360 trying to argue stevic shouldn't be involved. FFS.

Coaches votes for the game.
10 Isaac Heeney (SYD)
6 Josh Kelly (GWS)
6 Luke Parker (SYD)
4 Harry Perryman (GWS)
2 Jesse Hogan (GWS)
2 Tim Taranto (GWS)
Which puts Isaac in front in the Gary Ayres award, but strangely, I don't like his chances of winning it.Comment

Umpires have enough pressure on them without having to give evidence at the tribunal. It is clear what happened. He's gone. Anyone defending him lacks a feel for the game and its traditions.Comment

Gerard Wheatley was perfect tonight. Greene and the Giants need to own their actions tomorrow, apologise profusely and plead guilty.Comment

Of course stevics input is required. He knows exactly what happened.Comment

What could Stevic possibly know that isn’t already obvious in the video?
The only way his input would have any further weight is if he told the tribunal that Greene told him where to go when it happened. I’m not saying that is what occurred, but I don’t see how his testimony could mitigate the resulting outcome.
It is almost beyond comprehension that Greene didn’t know what he was doing. And even if that were true, the action alone cannot be allowed to stand unpunished. At a minimum it has to be two weeks, but I can understand the argument for a more severe penalty.Comment

A small extract from [I]The Age[I] by Jake Niall:
The Toby Green case isn't really about Toby Greene ... if the AFL's most mesmerising outlaw is allowed to play again this season, there is still a party that will be injured by Greene's latest overreach: the game of Australian rules football. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. There media is absolutely salivating over this. Baying for blood.Comment

Just remember that we are talking about stevic here. The umpire that didn't pay a free kick to the swans for 3 whole quarters in the 2016 grand final.
Unusual? Fluke of nature?.
Statistically, it's a 1 in a billion chance of happening. Which means never.
Which means he's a crook.
I wish Toby had decked him.Comment

And I am not defending anyone involved and yes I feel we were robbed but just remind me was there only one umpire in the 2016 GF ?Comment
