He’s not a tall KPD as he’s 193cm in an era of giants and we’ve got Pat Mc as an interceptor. If he’s a third KPD, he’s an average on based on a seven (?) year career, and where does that leave Gould. He’s not a KPF, as he’s been tried there and is crap. He doesn’t have the tank to be a tall marking winger a la The Rat.
If we pay bugger all on the trade and the salary, maybe it’s worth a chance, but even then, to be convinced.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Assume at worst he will be Melican’s replacement in the VFL team next year. But he may also be a Rampe replacement in a few years time.Comment

Francis looks to be a Lewis Taylor replacement. The Swans do need players saved up for future delistings.
You have to think that whatever has been wrong with him for these past 7 years, the Swans can fix it, or are they just being delusional.
I can see a swap for Ronke, as Essendon could use a small forward and we've got lots of them.Comment

Gotta admit, happy to be proven wrong, but I don’t get this.

Francis has a lot of talent, just goes at half rat power in the red sash. Fingers crossed he finds motivation with us.Comment

If true Aaron Francis makes a lot of sense for us to improve our defensive depth and or be able to reposition one of our defenders into a role where they can be unleashed.
No doubt it could be a Thurlow, Taylor and or Menzel type signing but equally it could be a Ted Richards and or Paddy Mc type success story for us.
Aaron is very strong in the air which is helpful at either end of the field."be tough, only when it gets tough"

On the point of Aaron Francis - he is just a hail mary choice, low probability of success, but low cost and big payoff if he was to come right. Will cost us bugger all, so worth taking the chance on him. Amazing how many players come good when moving from a pretty toxic culture to a new environment - maybe he might be another one."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I’m a bit mystified by Francis given he’s provided 7 years of consistent underperformance.
Really hope they have seen something no one here has?
We gave up picks 19 and 50 for Teddy. I reckon we’ll give up a 3rd rounder for Francis.Comment
