I'm just catching up on today's interesting set of posts. Here are my thoughts for what its worth:
1. Great news on Lloyd re-signing. He is a very consistent and dependable player. Generally good under pressure too. We have essentially re-signed all of our key players coming out of contract. This reflects well on our club culture. Many others would love this outcome.
2. I think we need to bring in another developing ruckmen and delist one or both of Crayfish and Stretch.
3. Some admirable out of the box thinking about Gould from Ludwig. Personally, I don't think he is quick or agile enough to play in the midfield but it could be worth a try.
4. One reporter recently suggested we give McLean a try as a key defender to play on the monsters. What do others think about that prospect?
5. Tarryn Thomas is a big yes from me if we can entice him up to Sydney. I would give up one of our first rounders for him.
Big strong body and a very good kick - could do some damage out of the centre.Comment

Hey, now The Bloods is not on the site any more and we can discuss these things freely, who’s deep down feeling a case for trading Rowie?

We haven't traded well with this level of player in recent years (on the outer at a mid-table club), and that's allowing the jury to be out on Ladhams. But prepared to be optimistic.
I have noticed his marking in games against us. I wondered whether they have in mind a Sam Reid type swingman, but Francis has a solitary career hitout.Comment

What do members think of us targeting on of Richmond's ruckmen - Soldo or Samson Ryan?
Richmond clearly want Hopper and desperately need currency to get him after going all out on Taranto.

According to footywire Aaron Francis Essendon's contract expires this year. Having been drafted in 2015 (7 seasons) doesn't that make him a RFA?
Aaron Francis of the Essendon Bombers Biography
According to Jon Ralph the Swans are looking to secure Aaron Francis for a 4th or 5th round pick.

I have thought about him too - I know he is similar to McLean and Amartey but probably more suited to ruck than those two.Comment

I think Jack Graham would be great 2 flags with Tigers 24yo midfielder wealth of experience wanted to be traded to Port Adelaide went to visit their facilities was disappointed & said NO !( our new facilities will be impressive ) I agree with post re Esava Ratulogea he cant fit into Cats side he is behind Hawkins,Rohan & Cameron in forward line, he has a great leap & mark useful ruckman 24yo 98cm 108kg would be great player to get.Comment
