Yeah we have been killed in that area today however there has been some poor high tackles by us. All in all we are getting well beaten. Hopefully we kick a couple of late ones to get us back in it!

Amarty, Bell, Gould, Sheldrick and Sinclair have all tried hard. Campbell did a couple of nice things since my last post mentioning him.

Roberts looks a bit lost in the finals pressure (which is a little concerning considering his invisible performance in his 1 AFL game). Hopefully he can get into it in the 2nd half.

Need more from a few of our experienced players in Cunningham, Melican, Ronke and Ladhams.

Roberts not enjoying the physical nature of this match. 5 disposal in a half, he is being shut out which is really hurting our game.

McLean missing is really hurting our game too. Where is he?

That's one thing that has worried me about Roberts this year. When the game is hot, he is just a bit off the pace. I think he needs an intense pre-season to gain more speed and agility. His goal kicking has been poor for someone who is good kick.

I was thinking that too how useful he'd be on the wing taking those downfield marks from defence...where is he

Agree. Last week he was massive, pushing up the ground as an outlet for the kick coming out of defence. He and Amartey together means we can always have a strong marking option stationed close-ish to goal. I don't think we need another tall (and Geddes has had some good moments) but if you were going to take a tall out, you'd probably rather it were McAndrew (or even Sinclair) rather than McLean.

Has anyone got the free kick count. I counted 3 free kicks for the Swans. Many holding the ball decisions against Melbourne are not been paid, but for us its a different story.

We probably shouldn't still be in the contest, but their poor kicking for goal has kept us in it.

Amartey looks well placed if needed for the Seniors Final tilt - playing well and marking the ball beautifully. But too many of our AFL experienced players are not doing enough at the moment.

The umpiring is reminding me of playing the Bulldogs. 13-4 free kick count at half time. And on the Bulldogs, I was thinking that the commentators were starting to really annoy me, then it occurred to me that the lead commentator, Jason Bennett, is the twat that did the game against the Bulldogs a couple of years ago, when we won despite being caned in the frees all day. He and BT seemed to think that the Bulldogs were dominating all day, were unlucky not to have won the frees by further, and that it was totally mystifying how we could have beaten such a quality side.

Hall-Kahan has shown he is able to cut it at this level. He can get the ball under pressure and his disposal usually result in a positive outcome.
