As for you mentioning others positively and some negatively....well, that's just what we all do....but in a more holistic way.

There is not one person here on RWO that is so relentlessly negative towards a particular player as you are towards RB....and who relentlessly continues to double down on his fallacy.

Think i said some good things about Chad and McCartin (Paddy) & also critical of Florent and Campbel , any thoughts on those comments or am i going to be hanged for saying 1 word about RB ? Actually like talking footy with you lot but feel like the only way i can is if i pretend Rowbottom is fine

Not sure embarrassing is an accurate description of Rowbottom nor would I have said he was one of our better players last night ,he did ok in tight at ground level but found himself on a wing at times which doesnt suit at all and got exposed. Florent has decision making problems and we all know it but his legspeed is ok. I agree about McLean though ,doesnt seem strong enough to hold a body position. Campbell did ok ,got outmaneuvered a few times and caught boundary side but otherwise was solid. Rampe was into T.McCartin a fair bit about squeezing the ground so maybe something they are working on while his brother did a serviceable job for the most part in a defensive role. Blakey showed some real go at times although once from a kick in the umpire thought he showed a bit too much but was pretty creative. Parker was his usual self. Chad has impressed me right from the start and was pretty hot at times last night. McDonald needs to get more involved and drifted in and out of the game last night. Sheldrick showed some very good signs last night. Ronke got lots of time and showed he is a level below AFL level still.

In the end it was a scratch game where we really just wanted to have a run so I wouldnt have any new opinions that are set in stone.

I do need to call everyone out for their constant criticism of TheBloods because he doesn’t rate Rowbottom.

Why is the community not praising TheBloods for his early call (probably before any other posters) on the superstar potential of Chad and J-Mac. I’ve read post after post of community members praising Chad and J-Mac. He picked those two superstars before Red and White were onboard.

TheBloods doesn’t have the same belief in Rowbottom and the community chooses to go against TheBloods despite TheBloods seeing Chad and J-Macs potential before anyone else.

It’s staggering that people refuse to listen to TheBloods feedback on Rowbottom despite him being the visionary on Chad and J-Mac.

TheBloods got Blakey wrong last year and now he’s a Blakey off half back supporter.

Not sure were you found the evidence to support this assertion given that both Chad and Justin were drafted before TB even joined the forum. I seem to remember there were a few others who saw the potential of both. Also while I think they both have huge futures in front of them neither of them are yet “superstars”

People don’t refuse to listen they read his opinions and, strangely enough given how incessantly negative and borderline offensive they are choose not to agree. Fancy that happening on a public forum????

I liked Rowbum's attack on the ball the other night. His disposal was a bit off but in the context of the first trial of the season, it's hard to describe his, or anyone else's performance, as being embarassing.

Rowbottom, can we just stop please, it's tedious point scoring, it spoils a good read every game he plays. I'm sitting on the fence on Rowbottom as to his trajectory, whether he will be part of our next great team I'm unsure.

I thought Rowbottom was generally good Friday night, better than many games last year where I think he may have carried niggles most of the year.

Some posters obviously set different standards to others, we often see games and players differently, one thinks a player was ordinary, another thinks that player had a good game.

There is no point arguing against other posters assessments, they make them, just gloss over them if you disagree, particularly in circumstances where because of the poster, you know you can't win and it will degenerate into what it invariably has - tedious and boring!
