Stop mentioning RB in your Chad posts and I will stop comparing them.
What a load of rubbish , where is it in the rulebook that a captain is defined by his one percenters ? Its crap . You are making stuff up

I only mentioned RB (and Parker ! ) because i was showing how Chad isnt much different to them with his defensive efforts . He is averaging 1 tackle and 1 pressure act less than RB and that is all RB is in the team for . He is also ahead of Parker in tackles and equal with him in pressure acts and he is CAPTAIN. So you can keep saying it but it wont make it true .

I suspect Hewett will pick up Chad tomorrow. Consensus on radio this morning is that Mills goes to Cripps.

Carlton is the No.1 centre clearance team by a long way. We are pretty ordinary in that department, so we need to go 50/50 at least. It will be interesting to see who starts in the guts. Watching clips of Carlton on 360 last night showed Carlton are quick footed, so our Kennedy is wasted in there. Hickey will play a big part if he can grab the ball at centre bounces to break up Carlton's perceived dominance.

Carlton are down the list on defensive rebounds so quick entrances and pressure at the footy in our forward line is paramount. If Papley has a blinder then chaos will prevail.

I said recently he lives in your head and you continue to post comments that confirm it.
Lives in my head ? im not even talking about RB . I was comparing Chad 's defensive numbers to RB's because RB is the defensive mid and that is where stevoswan said he wasnt good enough !

Maybe step away from the computer/tablet/phone and RWO for a while. I've found that excessive time on RWO is not good for one's general demeanor. Not being judgy or anything, but you've been on RWO terribly often lately. It's best taken in small doses, and I tend to learn a fair bit from the well-informed and knowledgeable posters amongst us when I pop on. Bickering gets us nowhere really.

Oh and maybe Clarke comes in and gets a run with role with Cripps. Don't know how successful that would be, but that's my guess.

That is fine by me . Tried to say something positive about one of my favourite players and as usual people have to turn it and twist it into a negative . Dont need it.

So someone else posted this on your behalf ?

You never miss an opportunity no matter how tenuous to have a crack at James.
It has to be something personal maybe ?

In his draft years Chad played less flashily and more defensively with impressive smothers and other one percenters.

Likewise, I think RB's offence is underrated. He's a decent kick and uses the ball reasonably well given he's in an inside role.
Well balanced and intelligent post thank you . I agree Chad is developing nicely and most of us would expect him to become an integral part of our next premiership challenge.
It’s also true that inside mids don’t have the same amount of time to assess delivery options that others do so it’s understandable that they don’t have the same efficiency.

I didnt mean it as an insult , im saying he is there to tackle and pressure . He is good at it , my point is Chad is nearly as good at it too and its not even Chads job ! Was not insulting RB i was praising Chad .

I wonder if we could institute a practice that no poster should have more than (say) 3 posts on any one page.

It might reduce the "he said, she said" repetitions that don't advance much the discussion on Swans football generally (IMHO), and enhance our enjoyment.

Well said. Totally agree on both accounts.

I've noticed that Chad becomes visibly upset when he makes a defensive error. So he's well aware of the defensive side of the game and with his determination I would expect that he will become a very good defensive player. Chad did some really nice things in our defensive zone the last game. He was very poised under pressure and executed precisely.

BTW, I've been impressed with brother Corey's defensive game. He's so quick to close down the opposition. I now think we've got 3 winners in the 2021 draft with our 1st 3 picks. Looking good for the future.

Good to see COR back. Either Stephens or Campbell will be sub, not debuting Roberts as a sub, it's an insensitive thing to do, but other teams have done it :-(

Did I say that one percenters 'define' a captain? No.....you made that up.

I suggested that it is an important part of a leaders job of 'setting an example' to his team mates, that is all.

While the stats suggest Chad is close to RB and Parker in pressure acts etc I also go on what I see and at times he just does not chase as hard as I would like. Others have noticed defensive deficiencies in his game....are we all making stuff up?

Nice to see COR back and rewarded for his good form.

Campbell being 'managed' for a second week?
