Of course he will. The MC can see something there- I sure don’t know what- but they must see something! Maybe he has some compromising photos- you just never know!????

It's hard to see us turning this ship around next year. It's going to take longer than that. I'd be inclined to let Buddy go at the end of the year and give the youngsters a year to develop playing together leading into the 2024 season. If it comes together sooner, all the better, but I wouldn't drag things out thinking the vets like Buddy and JPK are going to help us win a premiership.

Playing even 1 ruckman is a weakness, unless it's Max Gawn. 2 rucks are 2 weaknesses. Not having a ruckman was a Port advantage. Finlayson outplayed Ladhams.

Thrown away a good chance to put us in the hunt for a top 4 position.

This is one of the most inconsistent Swans side i can remember.

On the bye; it appears we lose our sharpness after a bye. Lack of quality training?

Cunningham should not have been out there. Looked way under done and didn't attack the footy with any effort. His old timidness appeared to return. Should have played reserves and doesn't have star quality to just walk back into the side. Fox should have played.
Hayward stupid but as a small fwd, at least he marks, tackles and spreads.
Heeney, Hayward and Paps plus a midfield pushing fwd are all the smalls we need down there

Cunningham isnt a walk in All australian after a month+ off. His only saving grace was they all looked terrible

Is COR really upto it, id take Fox over him, more versitile

Possibly - I’m not 100% sure. We were simply outplayed in every position across the field. Having Buddy up there should create opportunities for other forwards - but they were static and waited for the ball to come to them.

Our small forwards were terrible. Papley was fumbling all day and never looked like he was in the game. & he wasn’t even our worst. Their defence was outstanding - so I’m not convinced any other structure would’ve worked any better.

Buddy should’ve been moved up the ground earlier, for me the Buddy-centric criticism has some merit, but it gets used as an excuse to cover our other deficiencies.

Last four games Sydney have given up:
                9-goal quarter v Carlton
                5-and 6-goal quarters v Richmond
                5-goal quarter v Melbourne
                6-goal quarter v Port Adelaide

When the opposition gets a run on we cant stop it.

We werent saying that about Hickey last year or even Ladhams last week.

Both are good at centre clearances

Team selection is an issue. I’ve reached a stage where I’m considering not watching the game if they continue with dumb selections. Of course Harry needed to play in the ressies. Campbell instead of Wicks is a no brainer. Surely they can’t bring Bell back, irrespective of what he does in the twos. And play our attacking game-would rather lose attacking than play second fiddle. The boys and coaches let us all down today.

Stupid play is a natural part of Hayward's game. You wouldn't want to take that away from him.

Otherwise, I think Hayward put in a decent effort compared to most of the team.

The turning points in the game were Lloyd’s intercept kick-in which resulted in a goal, Ladham’s 2 free kicks which resulted in goals. -out deserved to win and I hope Ladhams gets a 2 week suspension for his punch on Wines. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

We were pantsed through the midfield. Mills had plenty of the ball again but had no influence, Gulden's kicking was horrid as was McInerney's. JMac has no depth to his kicking.Chad at least took the game on but I suspect he was tagged. We were simply run off our legs and it looked to me that PA like a fast track.

We didn't stick tackles because we couldn't get to the contests. Wicks had a fine last quarter with 4 hand passes.

He might miss a week for that gut punch on OW anyway. On the bright side, he cannot have a worse game than this, like… ever.

He’s been okay for us this year, but the brain fades today were incredibly deflating for the whole team. Could do with a better hairdresser too.

Sometimes your desire to be good can get ahead of your ability - and I think that happened with him today. He was out there trying to prove something (not sure what it was) and ended up looking silly. Hope it’s a learning experience.

We were outworked. They had 241 uncontested possessions to 165. Their players ran harder than ours to get separation. They got more tackles than us when they had more of the ball as well.

So disappointing given how tight the ladder is and a top four spot was a possibility with Melbourne and Brisbane stumbling.

St Kilda will be on fire next week too after losing to Melbourne.
