I think JMac deserves some sort of award for bravery / being made of steel after playing on after that bump

I think this is largely it.

It’s also how we have the debate. I don’t see anything over the line or reactive in the criticism of Chad on here the last 24 hours, for example. He didn’t have a bad game, but he didn’t have a great one either - and the balance in his game between his willingness to take the game on, which is a blessing, and knowing when you’re cornered, is a legitimate issue. He’s an outstanding young player, he seems a quick learner, but of course at his age and relative inexperience he’s got a few things to keep working on. He’ll just keep getting better and better.

Rowbottom has things to fix in his game too, and had a sub par game last night.

I think what bothers us is when it’s any other player - even those struggling right now like Wicks - it never resorts to things like ‘his team mates hate playing with him’. There’s some weird, personal reflex there, and there’s only one poster that does it.

It’s got so bad that others are focusing on finding fault and pulling down his favoured player as part of the process to defend James. So now we have supporters looking for fault in another of our future stars just to respond to the ludicrous unbalanced comments that he makes.
He single-handedly was the cause of a new thread where his vicious diatribes could be quarantined , rather than the usual practice of a stand-alone thread to discuss players in a positive or supportive way.
He has previously caused others to leave the forum and I for one now tend to spend less time on here because no matter how hard you choose to try and ignore his comments and thoughts he is somehow able to push enough button’s with others to derail most threads with his juvenile insults. Insults that he has said over and over again that he was going to stop inserting into every thread but unfortunately it seems like the lure of attention over-rides the option of responding maturely and staying on subject.
I seem to recall seeing yesterday him stating that the rest of the players didn’t like James and felt he was overrated or something similar.
I know you can ignore him and god knows I try but he is so successful at trolling that you get multiple responses quoting him and so the original thread subject once again gets hijacked.
I don’t want to sound to dramatic but it’s bullying and should not be considered acceptable or dismissed as something to not be taken seriously. If it was happening on social media he would be called out and possibly blocked or suspended .
Or imagine turning up to Swans training and calling out the rubbish he does I don’t think it would be looked on as just a passionate supporter with a twist giving his feedback
The only upside is that James is probably not even aware of this nasty malicious attention seeking hack masquerading as a supporter.
I hear you Fauna- I guess I’ve just gotten used to him: I tried by taking the mick, then gentle ridicule and finally thought that he is suffering from an obsession or a form of addiction. Now I just don’t take any of his comments regarding you know who seriously unless they are in the dedicated thread. It seems he just can’t help it, so I don’t take his digs to heart. But he can sound like an absolute “dud”!????

          Ladhams a week suspension
He deserves it however, how that is assessed as anything other then low impact is BS

Wines had no issue, not seen by a trainer and BOG.

I assume Danzar has analytics for the website which would show trends in participation rates. My gut feeling is that some regular posters have either left or post more sporadically since this community became more focused on the debates from TB.

Or the number of negative posts directed at players and fellow RWOers and probably feedback received by the mods. There are a lot of people who look at this site but don't post. I got denigrated for something I didn't say.

Prior to yesterday, I had high hopes for Ladhams. He lost me with that performance, and I suspect, many of us as well as his teammates. It reminded me of that fateful final season for Hall when he kept giving away stupid frees and 50s. He went from one our best to a liability. Ladhams owes us big time. Take your deserved suspension and then go back to the Reserves and earn your place back in the team. That was not a bloods performance. He embarrassed the Club.

Well said. Get him to get games into himself in the reserves. Now is the time to give Joel Amartey extended game time to give him a chance to show his wares. The little time he has been given time on the ball he has shown that he is up to it. He is mobile and has good second efforts.

One of the commentators (maybe Russuito) said "and that's why they let him go".

Truthfully we are not a young side our average age and games played is mid table.

We just aren't as good as we thought rarely does linear progression happen from the previous year.

Its the experienced players that keep letting us down Rampe, Lloyd often with ridiculous turnovers in defence which gifts goals to the opposition.

I think we have experience at either end of the ground, albeit with a bit of lack of class, bar Papley, in the smalls. (I rate Cunningham as a terrific team mate and role player, but no more than that.)

Where we are inexperienced and our inconsistency shows is in the midfield. Of our permanent brigade (as opposed to pinch hitters like Heeney) we have Parker and Mills, then a batch of 21 and under players. Warner, Rowbottom, JMac, Gulden are probably the next four in terms of time around the ball. Playing at high intensity both sides of the ball four quarters each week is still a challenge for them.

This is where you’d hope a couple of players like Ollie would have stepped up more by now.

Very disappointing yesterday. I think to some degree it was just one of those games where one side was up and about and the other really wasn't. What concerns me is why they weren't, and why they seemingly had no alternatives when challenged. It's great when your team prevents the opposition from playing their natural game, not so great when they do it to your team and your team has no answers. Port's pressure was really intense though.

I'm not too concerned though, still plenty of games to play and enough of them are winnable. A good thorough review and reset and hopefully next week will be much better.

I came here after a little while and did not watch the game so was trying to find some thoughts on the match and seems nothing has changed. One person hijacking the forum ! Cannot be civil unless the hijacker is allowed to use demeaning words for players.
