Ladhams, deliberate to the body low impact is only a fine. I think he will be ok, question is whether we play 2 rucks vs saints.

I assume if Hickey isnt right and Ladhams is suspended, Saints arent as stupid as us to not play 2 rucks, Marshall and Ryder.

Selection going to be interesting again, difficult to see the 21 that fits around Wicks

After Ladhams produced one of the worst quarters I’ve ever seen surely he can’t play next week.

We looked like briefly staging a comeback in the 4th when Reid was in the ruck and he was off the ground…
He ate more cheese, than time allowed

Agree with that comment. The good news is Hickey is dominating the ruck in the VFL today.

Good to hear our Number 1 ruck is doing well in the 2s

No he's not, and thank goodness for that. Though it did get back to him that there was online activity dedicated to religiously trashing him after every match. I mainly post on RWO but am active on other sites, as well as Facebook and Twitter, and I can't think of any other "activity" that it would be referring to if not this site and one particular user?? Everywhere else Rowie seems to be a well-regarded player and the most rigorous debate around him has simply been about his role in the midfield!

Rest assured that the club is excellent at guiding players to not invest in online discussions amongst fans, unless it arrives at their doorstep such as what happened with James Bell after the elimination final last year, when he had to deactivate his social media account because of comments that were left on his personal profile! Even in Rowie's case, it cannot feel good to know that there's a portion of fans, however small, who seem to despise you and berate your every move. The fans are who they play for!

Still, it is a valuable lesson that word travels on the internet and the things you say enter the public domain for anyone to see, so best not to be reckless with our discourse!!

RB has been excellent. Not sure why (some) users here on RWO would say otherwise.

Thanks for the healthy dose of perspective and you’re absolutely correct.

There are, however, some key areas where we have some gaps. Not all of these we can wait for younger players to grow to fill.

But overall, yes, it’s going to require some time for things to work out - along with some retirements, delisting and shrewd recruiting.

Should have played 2 rucks and dominated them.

Ramps needs to be the lose man or 3rd man or play on the run off HBF, too old too slow too many dumb frees playing the big guys nowadays.

Ollie not sure the issue, too experienced to be having games like that. Healy said he was more midfield

Campbell selection is utter stupidity, 2nd year and played 1 full game of 2s in a month. Look at Stephens, play them into form, relevance or play them into extinction. Wasted a top 5 Pick, cant do that again and yes i dont care about the pick in the 20s that looks good, Top 5 players win finals
2 rucks is fine, Ladhams just should never be one of them. I really like Reid in the ruck.

Yep, Stephens and Campbell definitely need more chances. Crazy for their development at the moment.

Ladhams is a 23 yr old ruck who let the occasion get the better of him

                      Big deal move on

Agree that Reid is a better 2nd ruck option to Hickey than Ladhams atm, and probably a better 2nd ruck option in general.

I'd be happy to see Campbell in the senior side, although there were plenty of more deserving players in the VFL side today. Stephens is way off the pace and needs a big improvement before getting selected. It's a sad story, but there's no benefit to playing him in the seniors the way he's going at present.

Reid, mccartins, Rampe lloyd and blakey in my back 6

Id play reid but as a CHB, Paddy spare man is good, but need another tall body on body defending, Ramps isnt it

The Mongrel Punt was pretty scathing about Rampe, not undeservedly after he got monstered by Marshall.

I don’t know if he could still play as a medium defender or that’s it? He was our best defender for so long it’s hard to imagine the post-Rampe era.

TMP also questioned Ollie’s trajectory. He seems a bit in between roles at the moment. Cunningham returning would have been a factor.

I think this was one of those frustrating games that we will continue to have along the way with a young group.

They had more to play for and clearly outdid us in intensity, it helped that their plan to stop our ability to move the ball worked.

I’m not sure how much of it was coaching, effort, personnel and “post-bye malaise” but I’m going to chalk it up as one of those games. And move on.

Massive game coming up on Saturday night. I’m trusting them to turn things around,

Woah.....if your occasional contribution amounts to a Big Footy style mod power trip.....no one's going to be too impressed are they?

203cm, 97kg, 17 days of development in the AFL system. And just over half an hour of senior experience. Brynn has my respect.

His attitude is honest and refreshing … “as he’s walking off at halftime with a severe shoulder injury he’s heard to say ‘that’s the best 35 minutes ever’,”

Today, Brynn (who is recovering from what could be an AFL career ending injury - given he was taken in the mid-season draft with no guarantees about a contract extension) asked if JMac was ok, saying that as he was about to make contact he deliberately didn’t raise his arm as he knew his own height would make it high and potentially harmful contact to JMac.

A genuinely nice, polite & humble guy who cherishes his 35 minutes of fame. I, for one, wish him a speedy recovery and that he gets another opportunity to realise his dream.
