Produces the best game of his career in the biggest game he's ever played. Says it all. Complete gun, not overawed by the occasion. Well done Paddlebum. My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment

I've always been a huge fan. So happy he's getting recognised for the quality player he is. He's a leader on the field as well. Captain material. It was a very astute move by Beatson to move up the draft a few spots to grab him.Just for the record, how good was Rowie’s game last night? This good.

99% of all afl watchers, both Swans supporters and opposition, have been fans. He’s never shown anything but heart, effort, and that “Brett Kirk quality” that is so attractive as a true blood’s supporter.Comment

I don't really fancy playing the fairypuppies in a prelim, but I do fancy absolutely belting them in a big final too. Like you, I think we would scorch them good and proper."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Interesting. Jake Niall's column this morning suggested he is "Brett Kirk 2.0". It's a big call, and time will tell, but it's not out of line. Huge heart, super tough, odd but effective kick, relentless, tackling machine and largely underappreciated by those outside the club. Sounds like Kirk 2.0 to me.My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment

It is ridiculous that Harmes gets off with a fine on the basis that it was body contact.
It is clear on the replay that Lloyd is hit in the neck and bottom of chin (which is why his heads goes back on impact) as well as the body. His head also hits the ground because of the collision, which is meant to be taken into account.
It happens every year at finals time, so I suppose it is no surprise but the potential for injury was massive in that encounter.
The suggestion from the commentators after the game that he put his body on the line for his team is also ridiculous. He put someone else’s body on the line and that is not the same thing at all. It is thuggery in my view.Comment

If there were coaches votes on finals, I’d guess it’d be Parker or Mills 5/4, Oliver 3, then Rowie, May or Ollie 2/1.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Haven't been on here for a while as I got sick of the pointless debate about Rowie.Just for the record, how good was Rowie’s game last night? This good.

I'm assuming after the last 8 weeks in particular, the debate is now settled? Not that it should've taken the last 8 weeks to settle mind you..................Comment

Rowbottom was magnificent!
Brilliant to see last years 'fringe players' Fox and Reid play so well and get us over the line. Love them both.
Buddy yet again struggled in a final for us. Will be very interesting to see how he performs in the PF and potentially GF.Comment

I think they needed to move him around a bit more when it was obvious May was winning that battle.
Then again we did win so maybe it was part of the plan all along"Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment
