Not sure how you would conclude Serong has hit his ceiling? Even if he has, that is a pretty impressive ceiling. The only question at this stage will be whether he can maintain the level he has got to for the rest of his career.

I'm not too fussed about selecting Dylan over Caleb, you can't win 'em all and as you said, it more than likely led us to Chad

What day does the club usually issue it's injury update? Very keen to hear about Ollie and his dancing feet.

Also the commentary on Clarke - when the clarkes and foxs of your team are getting mentions , you know the team is in a good place.

Reid has an injury free season, and plays well every few years. I think the last were 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2022. See a pattern there?

One of my favourite passages of play was Clarke's multiple efforts, that led to Hayward's first goal. First he tackled the Melbourne player trying to rebound, then got himself off the ground to complete a flying smother on another Melbourne player, then while on the ground, he gathered the ball and handballed to Hayward.

And Clarke was the Swan that forced the ball out of bounds with an effective tackle to end the sequence of Fox's multiple smother and McDonalds clearing kick

So do the Swans prefer to face Collingwood or Fremantle in the semis?

I doubt there is a strong preference. Maybe Freo because their pressure game isn't quite the same level as the 'wobbles, but Freo I think are a more adaptable team compared to the Pies - who I think haven't got a lot in the lockers if their primary approach doesn't prove effective.

If we play anywhere near our best, we will beat either of them.

I listened to the start of Ray Chamberlain's segment on SEN this morning, and he ticked off the 2 frees paid to Buddy.

He said for the first one that it's fine for players to push and shove when they are facing each other but when a player turns his back he is not expecting forceful contact in the back, so the free against May was correct.

The second one was paid because May moved off his line and blocked Buddy's run when he bumped him to the ground. I have to admit at the time I thought this one was soft.
