Extraordinary performance against the Premiers on their home ground, with a side many of whom have little finals experience. I think the last time we won a final was quite a long time ago
Start and finish Mark. Believe. It's on.

              What an amazing match !
Warner was tagged well by Sparrow and they should have taken care of midfield without him and Heeney playing well but the way Mills, Parker and Rowbottom absolutely smashed them was amazing to see.
The quick kicks, taking territory, bringing the ball to ground and playing great forward half defensive pressure game all was excellent tactics and excellent execution. The only blight was Mays performance on Buddy but he is a bloody good defender and Buddy should have played higher but maybe May might not have followed him and it could have been a problem.
Special congratulations to Hickey who smashed Gawn despite the personal troubles. Hopefully everything goes ok for his twins.

Correct. Without the ball JMac has been excellent. He’s not getting dropped because he is doing this defensive role really well. He’s just making some poor decisions and executions with the ball which is strange because this was his strength originally.

                  Ryan Stephens was also fantastic.

There were two plays that summed it all up for me

After the Mills goal in the second quarter when Viney and Parker went at the ball at the bounce, and Parker just bounced up and came away with it.

This is not to detract from our defensive play and Fox’s effort on that smother, but when the ball was cleared from the goal square, who was the release point - Logan McDonald. I can’t imagine the level of running he did to be in the back pocket.

I know there were a thousand moments like this but boy we cracked in

Parker and Mills are so solid and composed. Don’t do their nut, just show everyone how to play, they are fantastic.

He did, and he did it well, he just needs to hold his nerve with the ball.

Great game from the whole team. A lot of credit has to go to Longmire to get this young team to gel like it has, especially the relentless pressure and playing the system so effectively.

I've been really positive about the way the team has reinvented itself over the past 6 years. It's finally come to fruition in this game. We let go of Tom Mitchell, drafted Florent and Hayward. There was a lot of debate at the time if we did the right thing. It's clear now that we did.

It's great to back in the final four again, where we belong.

I actually think if you combined them you'd have the perfect wingman. Ryan is actually a smart player but sometimes his body won't co-operate. Dylan seems to have the skills but sometimes make the wrong decision.

I thought both - in their own way - were good tonight. Dylan's blossoming has been one of the highlights of the post #bombersgate period

There has been a fair bit of criticism on here of the three you mention: Longmire, Hayward and Florent. And I've certainly had my doubts about all of them at various times over the last 2-3 years.

The club has gone to a completely different level in the last couple of months and have totally dispelled my doubts. Those two have become two of our most reliable and valuable players. What a year this is becoming!
