Cats obviously too good, but we’ve played terribly. Barely touched the ball. Poor pressure. The Swans are a young side. Here’s hoping they learn from this and not retreat into their shells.

The McClean/Amartey/McDonald debate hasn’t mattered at all.

Guys, we’re all disappointed and shellshocked, but let’s not take it out on each other. Sure, we are pants today but we have done well up until this game. Can’t put my finger on it but the truth is Cats much better team today- unfortunately it happened in the wrong game for us. I’m sure the boys will learn from this sad experience and become better players for it.

I agree....that's sort of what I have been implying. I'm not going to bury our team with abuse.....disappointed or not.

It's pretty clear that we don't have the physicality to compete in the middle with all of Stanley, Blicsav, Danger there at the same time.Totally destroyed us.we could have done the same with Amartey as a ruck rover. It's something worth trying next year when we go back to the drawing boeard because they outstretched and outstrengthed us easily.

Don Pike is the one who introduced the new game plan, John is on the boundary line to get the players into the right head space how is that working out.

Im equally happy to clear out Pike as well. We have seen what the right exciting new coach can do.

Coaches job is to get the players into the right head space to play, are they? Clearly not is Geelong really a 100 point better team? No, so we again just accept an insipid performance. If we lost a tough hard contest by 4 goals no one would say a work but this is embarrassing plain and simple.

How rude! Not even 5 minutes into the final 1/4 and they’re selling the Geelong Knight Premiership poster outside the ground! when we have an 11 goal turn around this quarter, the seller is going to look silly and that Geelong supporter is going to have a priceless piece of memorabilia!

I just can’t believe it. The Swans didn’t even get a look in from the start. Clearances, (the few) contested possessions. Uncontested marking.

Shocking really, given the year we’ve had. Hard to believe.

Reminds me of the old days back in 93-94. An empty SCG papers and soft drink cans blowing around your isolated seat watching the Sydney Swans putting up a half baked effort for their salary and getting absolutely thrashed.

That was one of the best football performances I've ever seen from a team. Geelong have been fantastic in every aspect of the game. It's a shame that it wasn't much of a show for the spectators. And also a shame it was at our expense. Geelong were so much better than us, I couldn't even say if we played poorly. I can only say that Geelong were far, far superior. I just marvel how good they are.
