Very experienced Casey side with McDonald, Melksham, Hibberd, Dunstan, Buntine with many years of AFL experience behind themComment

On paper, we should get thumped. Will be good experience for the boys.
Melican out with a groin injury, but we knew that. For those who like the phrase 'has his papers stamped', we have a good example here. When you're injured, but don't even make the injury list, then .............................
I see that Sheather is back to the forward line, even though he played so well in his last few games as a backman. It's hard to break into the AFL side in any position, but there are more chances to impress as a forward. I think he's a good prospect, but the competition is stiff amongst the youngsters..Comment

With just McLean up front and Gould perhaps down back to hold things together, it will be very interesting to see who stands up or out among the others. Great opportunities but the overall weight of inexperience may be too great a test for individuals to shine.Comment

Thought the game was a little bit more competitive than the score suggests. We blew a few goal scoring chances, while Casey got some charity goals

Thought the game was a little bit more competitive than the score suggests. We blew a few goal scoring chances, while Casey got some charity goals; both from the umpires and our defenders. Plenty of our players have done some good things, but probably Warner and Sheldrick were our best.Comment

Frustrating goal-less quarter, with dropped marks, missed targets and shots going wide. Sheldrick still our best. Collis, Shipley and Bartholomaeus all having pretty good games, without suggesting to me that they're likely to be put on the AFL list. Interestingly, Hall-Kahan looks like he's been held over as the AFL emergency.Comment
