Here is one of the videos that I was talking about. I must say, watching these highlights, you can see why we drafted him so high!

Dyl’s 13 tackles will impress Horse the most.

So Liz, what do you think of our two mid season recruits?

I didn't watch the game, but Magor's 24 possessions stand out on the stat sheet.

          Here's a clip of highlights. Heart-warming: VFL Mini-Match, R12: Sydney v Sandringham.

Buller plays with plenty of spirit.

I wonder if it's the fact he doesn't have the strength to play in the guts at AFL level, or if it's another case of our coaches playing our young talent out of their natural position in the senior side???

Great result for our ressies! Doesn't erase the disappointment of last night, of course, but a welcome ray of sunshine!

Magor was OK, but made his fair share of mis-kicks.

It was so good to see them get a win. I watched/listened to the last 2 quarters. They entered the 4th quarter up by a few goals but the opposition came out with a bang and in no time the scores were level. Sandi kicked a goal and shades of our seniors team followed. Our back line was heroic but entries into the forward line were not to advantage. We managed to whittle the Sandi lead down point by point, got it down to 3 points I think, then a minute or so before the siren sounded kicked ...... a goal! A win at last.

Having a competitive target up forward did make such a difference, also McAndrew in the ruck. Dyl was everywhere. At centre bounces his opposing player niggled him the whole time but he seemed to handle it okay. Warner had some very good patches. Magor did get a lot of the ball across the half back line and Edwards took some very good intercept marks. The rest of their season now looks a lot more positive and fun, although it must be noted that Sandringham are 16th on the VFL ladder!

That may be true, but I can't see any reason at this point for us not to give him a go as a Centre bounce mid for a solid month in the seniors to see if he has what it takes. He is clearly too good in the VFL as he stars most weeks these days back there so why not find out if he can offer anything more than he already has to our senior side?

He has decent speed, is a good size and not a bad kick most of the time so I can't see why we wouldn't at least try something different...

Buller picked up ten coaches votes: rebel Coaches MVP Award – Smithy’s VFL Round 12.

Well done to him. Certainly an impressive debut. Also quite pleased with the 8 votes for Stephens. He must be a reasonable chance to now come back into the side, for perhaps McInerney or Clarke. Slightly surprised with the 4 votes for Magor. While he played well, a lot of his possessions were either kick ins or chipping across the back line. Though I suppose that means that the coaches are confident in his ability to hit targets. Still, I was more pleased with the games of Arnold, Mitchell, Edwards, Warner and McAndrew.

They're probably the most likely to get another game shortly, but I'd like to see how Cabor and/or Gander look at the next level up.
My wish has been granted, with Kirk, Cleary, Gander and Rider all included in this week's VFL team.

In some ways it's a shame that they'll be without Buller (or any imposing key forward) but thems the breaks.

Be interesting to see what we do come draft time . Cleary I think we will draft , Kirk maybe a rookie spot . Not sure on the other two haven’t really seen enough footage . May might be a chance for a rookie spot also
