Is there someone watching this at home in front of a computer able to tally up the AFL games experience of the Carlton team? Not forgetting the VFL squad members who have AFL experience. It’s a bit hard to look up the info and remember it on my fingers on my phone.
swans team will be easy. However many Stephens has played plus the combined handful from Sheldrick and Gould (several as sub).
Despite the difference, I reckon our lads are still doing well. A couple of times - Stephens and Konstanty - they’ve tried to spear a forward pass as if they are kicking to the trio watching on the bench (Reid, McDonald, Amartey) but it’s better than the normal aimless high kicks.Comment

Still doing pretty well. I think the main reason why Carlton is in front, is the extra difficulty that not having any key forwards brings.
Sheldrick has been his usual combative self. Stephens has been responsible for some classy ball movement. I've liked Rankin today. Konstanty was good early and will only improve, especially when the team regains a key forward or two. Mitchell had some nice touches. Gould exerting some influence. While VFL listed players Morrison, Bartholomaeus and Endemann have done a few nice things.
The commentator mentioned an interesting stat. I forget the exact numbers, but it was something like Carlton have 655 games of AFL experience while we have 46. So, I don't really expect us to go on and win, but I'll be happy if we continue to be competitive.Comment

Gould would last about 90 seconds in the AFL midfield before spontaneously combusting from the exertion of it.
I didn’t see the whole game but thought Edwards again showed how quickly he’s improving, Magor gave some dash, and Mitchell looked ok.
Stephens really is a cut above at that level, but needs to take his confidence and willingness to run and use his pace to seniors footy. Gus is a one touch player, super clean and can find it. If I had an observation, he occasionally turns back into trouble rather than the space available to him. It’d help tidy up his disposal too.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

I agree with comments that there was some genuine encouraging signs in that game, especially in the first half. Still going to be a long season, but at least we can maybe see a few green shoots."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
