Still gets me angry. Fitzpatrick was very vindictive and threw a tantrum because Buddy didn't get to GWS. Childish.

I see that Nathan Buckley has come around to Ludwig's position on ruckmen. Even though I'm not a Buckley fan, I don't mind Buckley jumping on the Ludwig bandwagon.

Round 3 Sydney ‘No Rucks’ Swans v Melbourne ‘Gawn/Grundy How-Do-They-Manage-Their-Salary-Cap’ Dees.

Should be a test of Ludwig’s Big Belief.

I highly doubt our youngish squad peaked in their upward development last season....most pundits seem to think we got to the GF a year early and I agree. Natural development will see us contending in a big way this year. Those teams have to catch up to us (and Geelong)....and they knew it, hence their targeted recruiting. We'll be ok.

I noticed that rucking is taken VERY seriously at Melbourne FC. Not only have they invested a huge amount of salary cap in Gawn and Grundy but the ongoing "interrogation [of Grundy] is a work in progress"! Jeepers. Are they going to be using racks and thumb screws?

If they do get to use the rack, I can't help thinking that Hayden Mc might benefit from a few extra inches - make him a plausible relieving ruck.

Probably meant integration? Poor editing and missing a bad autocorrect is my suspicion.

Cornes and Healy react to report linking Carlton forward to Sydney

Tom De Koning would complete the puzzle for the Swans. He sounds expensive at $1 million and 8 years, but Tom would be the perfect fit for us. Even if we gave up our first 2 draft picks, it wouldn't matter. We really don't need any more players.

He's 5 years younger than Himmelberg, and plays forward and ruck. 203 cm. What more can you ask for? I wonder if it will happen?

In any case, it makes sense that we would be on the hunt for a Logan McDonald partner.

I am absolutely not in favour of that. For megabucks and picks we want a genuine superstar, which TDK is not. For half the price? Absolutely!

TDK is looking an emerging superstar. We will have to see how he goes this year to determine his value. Now that we've been alerted, we can keep an eye on his progress.

As for the contract terms, who knows? A lot of numbers are tossed around with reckless abandon.

Luddy isnt he too tall for a ruckman?

I thought Robbie Fox or SamReid are our ruckman going into 2023 and beyond? ????????
