Clearances has been an issue all year, i said 2 months ago, every other line coach has had an "out" due to injury.

Dean Cox has had no excuse, had a full compliment until Mills went down, they ran it out, like most teams this year, 3 deep with ease.

Our mids are playing like we have Nic Nat as our ruck and we are going to take turns kicking it inside 50

Centre clearances (the lack of them) are the most annoying failure of our game at the moment. The game resets after a goal is scored
and it's as if the ball is then placed on a conveyor belt back into the oppositions forward line. And the other night we were only up
against the old GWS B team as I think Barry described them. Heaven help us when we have to play their A team soon out at
Homebush unless something can get fixed very very soon.

We lack a bull in the middle. Someone like josh Kennedy. I know we did ok last year without a bull, but I think sides have worked us out now.

Nankervis was the bull on Thursday. In hindsight, what a mistake letting him go was.

I agree with you needing a bull in the middle and from what I have seen there is potential with Sheldrick. He is only young and will develop further in the next couple of years. However we should still be looking at adding if we can a bull to our midfield.
Regarding Nankervis hindsight is a wonderful thing so we just have to accept what was done was done.

Needing a bull is an easy out, Sheldrick, Rowy and Parks is more than enough in there and Warner is inside and outside. Not mentioning Mills

Method is the issue, not resources.
6/6/6 isnt the issue either, we get smashed all over the ground.

Paps in the fwd line is the only one that hits the contest at pace.

Scrolling down further, Papley had 1 from 4 centre bounce attendances (which seems a low number of attendances), Sheldrick 0/11, Heeney 0/4, Gulden 0/3.

Also, Hickey was dominated by Nankervis, which was also influential.

What sticks out to me is the 1%ers. 66 to 36.

Was at the game. Our first half pressure and play were great and we should have been 5 goals up at quarter time. After half time, when it turned wet, we were slaughtered in ground balls and
centre clearances. We also turned the ball over too many times from our back half. Francis is good aerially but looked shaky with ball in hand.

That is hilarious. Apparently it's the coaches fault he's out of form. He's a professional footballer....if he can't be versatile enough to play in another role, he's maybe not as good or consistent as you think he is. When you played, were you 'great' every game?

Well at least the players got a mention this week.

I sort of agree....sure it would have suited us last night to have Nank sent off but the largely Victorian umpires already have plenty to cheat with as the rules of the game stand at the moment without giving them a huge game changing tool like this to have at their disposal.

Full strength means our best players all playing, all 100% fit without any niggles, all having played together for weeks and totally in sync. I'm not sure our team qualifies as even near 'full strength' at the moment. We are playing crap footy but we're not near full strength. We were full strength at most times last year and made the GF.....but even on GF day we were not at 'full strength'.

Players are suited to certain roles, thats not a new concept.

The guy was in out best early on then someone in the coaches box, clear assumption here as i doubt the 3x rookie listed player has a license to change psoitions, decided he is a fwd.

Probably the same genius who had Tom Mc fwd.

That is coaching.....Mrs Longmire is right
