Yes, this will be a very difficult game. We can only afford to lose a maximum of one game from our remaining four. The games away to Adelaide and home to Melbourne will also be challenging, but the game against the Giants will be at least as tough.

Given the outs, I would be a little surprised if we win. I note we haven't played at Giants Stadium for four years and haven't won there for five, per afl tables.

Our first Buddyless game. A Buddy circa 2016 would be handy

serious challenge against a team equally in their rebuild top4 tilt. They have made 2023 count so far.

Green and Hogan they will make them a tougher 22 to break down

GWS have had some good wins against the Dogs and Adelaide but equally our wins against the Dogs and Bombers were very good results.

Good chance if GWS win this game they may well secure "5th" if they keep the same momentum..........we are more likely "11th to 14th" for 2023 !

It would be nice to sabotage their run

It's a 50/50 game at the best of times. That's why derbies are so great

Really good test to see we’re we are at.
A few injuries will not help but a win here will put life into our chances of making the eight . Personally I think we are a long way off this year and a finish 9 to 12 would be a fair reflection of our season . The last few weeks wins have masked a few problems .
Our pressure will need to be elite and if we can break even around the centre square and stoppages we might be a sneaky chance .
I’m interested to see how from mid way through the 3qtr we finish off the game . It’s been our Achilles Heel all year .

Time for our mids to do a bit of bullocking and to milk a few frees. Win or lose I’ll still follow the Swans for heifer.

These last few games are going to be very interesting for our potential forward 'guns' and our forward structure now Buddy is not hovering in the background. If Hickey has regained enough match fitness and plays on Saturday, not of course forgetting Ladhams, McLean will again be part of the 'big forward' mix. Looking ahead there will be Buller to consider too, if he is any good. What will we learn from the first post-Buddy game, if all these players are fit to play!

All these cow references when the steaks are so high.

We need to take the game by the horns, keep the ball moo-ving regardless of what cattle we have on the field.

We need to play GWS the same way Freo played Geelong last weekend, low chaos balls into the 50 and try to get them on the ground.

We will get shredded if we try to get them in the air

                            Hickey, Clarke and Francis in.

Hickey, tick. Francis I get - I’m not enthusiastic about him but he frees up Blakey. But Clarke - hope I’m wrong, as he may do an effective tag, but I’d really rather pump games into Roberts or Warner jnr. I’m just unconvinced Clarke is any part of our future.

I'm a bit over the Clarke selection too. I get that he has a more mature body than some of our youngsters, but he is not a better footballer than several in the ressies.

Clarke? Seriously Horse? I’d like to know just who he is supposed to tag, as this is the ONLY rational reason he would make the team. I haven’t watched the Giants lately but I can’t see which of their players he could hold for a big part of the game. I understand we have a slim chance of making the finals so some may think that tagging may help achieve this, but surely Roberts for one could do a better job. Just don’t understand why our selectors pick a player who is not at the required level.

So now that I’ve got this off my chest, hope he plays a blinder and I’ll just hit the road!????
