Agree it is a long way off but we need to face the possibility that it's going to be more likely than not that he goes home.

Hopefully this year and next are his best anyway and we win a flag over that time.

I thought that club officials could not talk to a player in contract. Talk to his manager but don't take him to lunch.

        I think they can

They are just not allowed to make an offer u less given permission by current club to enter discussions re possible trade etc

It just rare in public as not a good look

Sam Taylor GWS has just signed 7 year contract extension till 2032

Like Warner, he is from WA & had 18 months remaining on his contract.

Because he doesn't want to play with losers.....why would Chad be any different?

I don't think there is an actual rule.

I remember Tom Harley met with Joe Daniher. (I think a GWS player spotted them).

A few years back I was on a bus going passed a cafe and saw Paul Roos sitting with Lumumba (Harry O). He was then traded to Melbourne.

Chad's girlfriend from WA has a major say in where they are going to live - he has said it himself. But hopefully, any return to WA will be a few years away.

Dawson probably would have stayed with us too, if not for his partner wanting to go home due to COVID isolation.

Well Chad better win a flag with us before his girlfriend drags him back to loser land.

I'd hate to be the partner that is responsible for her loved one never tasting victory on GF day.

Dawson never will....I hope his love for his partner runs deep.

Great news about Haywood....where does his girlfriend hail from?

Great news. I enjoyed how when the talk about him started building early last month he went out and kicked 8 goals in two
games. That wouldn't have hurt in the negotiations with the team.
I saw also Sam Taylor signed on for another seven years at GWS. Good for both of these guys and both teams.
I like it when players stay long-term at the club. I follow a couple of US sports pretty closely and the most annoying thing
about them is how frequently the players move around, even though both the players and the teams are in on this.

Wilbur has signed for five years. What a great group we have. He’s left a million on the table to chase a flag.

                        Let’s freaking go!

Terrific news regarding Will Hayward. It was just yesterday I was reading some AFL gossip columnist - which is most of them - suggesting he'd be off to the Blues or Demons(!).

I'm not so sure about this Wilbur tag folks. I feel he deserves better. On track for 40 plus goals this year, can take a great pack mark,
well liked, solid & loyal team man. I think it's time for him to morph from Wilbur back to Will to William and then onto Bill. It just
seems more fitting for him these days.

Despite all the media mouth foaming, the club just keeps signing key pieces of our future. Full faith in the club to keep getting it done.

Great that the players are all buying into long term, seem a very happy and tight group hellbent on sustained success.

That's another one signed. Now to get Logan's extension done.
