Here's the official news. Awesome to see what Ollie has done since his move to the backline. I used to worry what we were getting from him, but now love watching his dancing feet.
KB has been awesome. I’m absolutely loving seeing Caleb Serong and Jacob Van Royen in the Red and White.

Is it a worry that small forward Jacob Konstanty can't get a game ahead of Sam Wicks? Wicks came from the rookie list and Konstanty was taken in the 1st round. Does it talk more to Wicks determination and improvevment or does it talk to Konstanty potentially being a 1st round bust?
Only if you consider VanRoyans 9 goals better than Armatey’s 12 goals, not sure where you are coming from on this one
I definitely do and he has a way bigger upside than Amarty in my opinion - no doubt his 12 goals have kept him in the side - but he provides very little else to the side (clearly the match committee believe he is doing enough )
Give Konstanty a break, he is only commencing his second season against Wicks who’s been around for 6 years. That is not a fair comparison under any circumstances. Furthermore Wicks came through the academy system and it is well acknowledged within the AFL that the academy players are more advanced than those that come through the under 19 systems in terms of coaching and preparedness.
There seems to be a misconception by some on this site that any first round pick should be an automatic champion or the recruiting team have failed.
The reality is your chances improve dramatically if you are in the top ten, and there is always one or two failures in that group.
From memory last year’s draft the first round was still going in the middle twenties because of all the academy, father son, compensation picks

As others have suggested, probably reflects where they are in their careers and in the system. Wicks has been on the list several years, Kostanty just in his second year, after a fairly interrupted campaign last year where he missed much of the year. Obviously is seen as not far off seniors, given he has been an emergency this season, and has put together some good form in reserves.
