Roberts cannot be left out of the side on form. When Mills comes back and Roberts retains his form then either Harry or Jake's position are in jeopardy. Youth over age. That's if Mills plays back of course. So when Rampe comes back in who goes out?

Harry or Fox for Rampe Id say.
Roberts has done really well and maybe he gets shifted on the field but I don’t see him playing the same role when Mills is back.He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Yeah, nuh. Our academy was founded in 2010 and the first academy pick was Heeney in 2014, along with Jack Hiscox and Abe Davis later in that draft. Although, Brandon Jack got a rookie elevation the year earlier, and I think he spent some time with the academy, so it could be argued that he was the first academy pick. But either way, 2005 and 2012 had nothing to do with the northern academies.Comment

deserve to stay and I would be disappointed if any were dropped.Comment
-
- Campbell
- Amartey (we play two tall forwards)
- Cunningham
- Wicks
- Fox
- Hayward (but that might complicate his re signing)
- Lloyd
Roberts has been too consistently good and present for long patches to be dropped.Comment

Do you think Alistair will make a play for Lloyd for 2025/26 to head back to Victoria and help North?
Clarkson has always been a huge fan of Lloyd.
Jake is contracted for 2025 but we have significantly changed our exits and players that can move through the backline.
Plus it may relieve some $ where it hurts least with our extended squad?
Lloyd was very very dominant in the first receive and or first kick in seasons gone past and his ability to stop and turn on a dime and make a great kick or handball was elite.
Given Campbell, Roberts and potentially young Warner and Sid....... can play in the backline well and complimentary to our fast movement I wonder how we will shape our players and cap next 18months."be tough, only when it gets tough"

The Dogs have an incredible amount of tall forward talent (Naughton, JUH, Lobb, Darcy and Croft).
That’s too much talent to fit into 3 spots.
Looking at that list, should we target Croft? Naughton and JUH will get lifelong contracts, Darcy will always be the father / son of the great Luke.
Croft is a father / son as well but how is he going to fit into this structure of tall talent?
The Swans bidded on him so they obviously like him. Why don’t the Swans go after him with one of their late 1st round picks? The tall talent pool at the Swans is inferior compared to the Dogs and Croft may be able to break into the seniors.Comment

Why? Jordan Croft is a forward - thats where he played for the Calder Cannons. We don't require any further tall forwards. Anyway, who is to say that Croft will turn out better than any of our forwards on our list?
We are already stacked with talent.. Hayden McLean, Logan McDonald, Amartey. We also have Will Green who is a Ruck Forward who we drafted last year. I would take any of these players over Croft at this point in time. If JUH/Darcy were available then that is another discussion.
If anything we require a key back.Comment
