After watching the “Gettable” segment on the AFL site, they say Will Hayward is popular with other clubs, but wouldn’t want to go anywhere that’s not a contender. Realistically, that sounds like Adelaide would be out of the hunt, and Port may not have the position or cap space.

On the subject of West Aussies. For the last 4 weeks I have been trying to find out what has happened to Jack Buller. Not on injury list. Does anyone know?

With where salaries are heading under the new CBA, if we get him for under $1m we've got a discount. Most clubs will now have three of four players around or above that mark.

The smart thing Errol has done here for himself is a contract ending in 2028 takes him to FA, coincides with Tassie's entry (if that happens; I'm to be convinced) and then into the next CBA, when salaries will likely rise again.

I was confident he would stay, but was concerned about the mega $$$$ he was being offered.
