And utterly confusing why the MRO didn't even provide an explanation of why he didn't cite Zerk-Thatcher, whose swinging arm did cause a concussion.

The other annoying factor is the for-one-night-only Good Bloke discount afforded to Charlie Cameron. It was a crap decision by the tribunal to grant it, but having done so once this season, it's really hard to understand why it's not available to players with more sparkling records than Cameron.

Its actually a really stupid and inappropriate decision by a massive margin.

Butters gets an armchair ride. 9 fines for clips and tummy punches.

The very next play out of the centre, Webster again holds Heeney who fell forward this time and Webster fell into his back while holding.

If forwards in front position can't touch defenders aggressively above the chest then the AFL will have to make a rule that defenders can't touch forwards until the ball 'in play' is heading toward the forward

Its such crap by the AFL, but they have form with being inconsistent. Look at what Finlayson got for a homophobic slur, and despite many saying the benchmark was set, look what Clarko got soon afterwards. AFL is shambolic laughing stock when it comes to fairness/consistency/equality/equity.

It's not just in the AFL that you find crazy over reactions to any form of contact to the head. I was watching the NRL last night where the Dolphins and Rabbitohs were playing, A Dolphin player was running in to tackle and just before contact the Rabbitoh player slipped over and ended up almost parallel to the ground. His head banged into the Dolphin player's knee, he lost the ball and he was stunned for a short time. It was a complete accident. A penalty was awarded to the Rabbitohs and the Dolphin player was placed on report. Madnesss. It happens in Rugby as well now. No common sense and, in many cases now, results in clear injustices.

I suspect one of the reasons the Swans struggled getting Heeney off was the ridiculous nature of the charge. It can be difficult arguing against stupid. There is no way known that Heeney getting Webster in the face was intentional, and I imagine that if Webster didn't bleed then there would be no report, but with the AFL being the AFL, a suspension was almost inevitable.
