LOL thats what my daughter called them from a very early age...I've brought her up the right way, ya see, I've taught her to HATE Essendon and Hawthorn, cept when they play the Pies or each other for that matter...then its problematical deciding who to HATE less...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

I still entertain the thought of using Doyle as a permanent full forward and let Jolly and now Chambers to do the ruck work.
If it were spida we got then i couldn't see a spot for Doyle as Everitt would have been use as the resting forward.

Would Doyle be as good a full forward as Michael Gardiner?

Yeah, Doyle is a heartful more better than Michael Gardiner.

I thought he was a big raw meataxe ruckman as a Demon. My opinion hasn't changed much (but now he's our meataxe )
I actually looked back at my posts about him in October when we got him and I was worried
"I'm a fan of the big guys but I don't believe a tandem ruckman approach works well at all unless . . . . At least one of the ruckmen has another string to his bow (eg Mead can snaffle goals at Port, Keating ditto at Brisbane)
              OR
One ruckman is learning the caper (eg Doyle here and Jolly at Melbourne) I am concerned that a Doyle/Jolly combo is neither of these but the sort of combination we had with Stafford and Ball, where Ball took the #1 ruck spot and Stafford made an ill fated attempt to provide a marking target up forward."
Guess what? Ball & Jolly have emphatically proven I was wrong, BIGTIME!

Exactly, thats why I think people are over reacting about Chambers being a waste

Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

In fact, that's why RWO are taking this trade time to look for a new Ruckman.

I didn't say a waste, I said "perplexing" and are all the slipper sinkers completely without reservations?

Leaving aside the witticisms, I am still perplexed about Chambers. Is Chambers supposed to be a direct replacement for BigJason that we were chasing, or a long term prospect like Doyle, Shaw and Erickson or an insurance policy?

Some new players stepping up from the reserves and some new ones coming into the club makes it more exciting next season. I'd still like to see how we'd perform if Spida was tapping for us.

My family has also called Hawthorn the "weepoo" team for years. Since I was a kid anyway. They are my most hated team - purely for the colours!
