Astute trading. Advantage Sydney.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I still think he can be a good player for us IF his body ever gets it together.
From what I have seen of him when he has made it out onto the park, he justifies that rating.
You just never know with these big guys, he may just step out next year for all 25 games and play to his capacity.
If that is the case, we would be a very serious chance next year to go back to back.

Why not get them all....Chambers, Everitt AND White? What an awesome rucking division that would be -- a rucking lot of good in fact."Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."Comment

Hawthorn are in the power position for this negotiation. With Spida having one year left on his contract, and no other ruck backup, I wouldn't think they would be willing to trade unless we gave up quite a lot to get him.
Any player is tradeable as everyone says but not when it's for a 32 year old ruckman no matter how good he is.
How far is Eriksson from playing firsts? Can't be too long now.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

The boofheads at Bigfooty are stating that essendon wants to pass off Richards and Bolton for first round pick then offer either The Demons or Swans this pick plus their pick 7 for White or ROK.
Apparently they are offering to pay ROK substantially more than what Sydney is doing.
I find the money offer hard to believe considering the amount of money being freed up this year with all the retirements.
However, if ROK wants to leave, 2 first round picks would be outstanding. In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

You'd think that guys like Brereton and Dunstall would be saying if Everitt doesn't want to play for us then stuff him and get rid of him for someone (or draft choices) that wants to play for us. These guys played with pride and I suggest would only want players in the team that really wanted to play for the jumper.
It seems to have worked with St Kilda they got rid of big names in Lockett and Hall for trade deals that were good for both teams - St Kilda don't seem to be languishing without those previous players.
I don't care who the player is but if he doesn't want to play for your team then LET HIM GO!!! After all we had a team of players that wanted to play for the team and the coach and look where it got the swans.Comment

With all the public information, even if Everitt is staying with the Hawks, his on-field contribution for next year would be next to nothing. There is no motivation for him to play well at all next year.
After 2006, Everitt would very likely retire. I just cant see him to continue playing for a team he does not like and with no chance for the medal he desires.
This is not certain a position of strength for the Hawks in my opinion.Comment
